Holy Shit!!! So many great DJs coming to Toronto this summer; can't wait

Originally posted by Yohan It's given that a lot of DJs have an idea what tracks they want to play in a set But Armin is too good technically to not know how to play for the crowd. I really don't think he got to where he is now because he doesn't know how to read the crowd. A lot of DJs know how to play the popular tunes, but not many DJs know exactly when to play certain tunes like Armin does. PS: Man, it really bugs me to say good things about Armin

Originally posted by Yohan As much as I throw shit at Armin, the man knows how to read a crowd. Put him in KH with all the ASOT fanclub members, and you get 3 hours of uber cheese. You put him in a smaller venue with more educated EDM crowd, I'll bet he'll play more like pre 2004 Armin.

Originally posted by 8Wonders That's where the preparation comes in hand, dropping those tracks that he knows will go well. His Armin Only set for example, a lot of it was very similar to his other sets in terms of which tracks were played when. He is most certianly not gonna go in there and just start dropping random tracks, it's not so much as 'reading the crowd' as it is knowing what tracks will go well with the crowd. Usually what happens is the crowd recognizes the track as its being cued in, you get the wooos and the cheers, then silence, then the break comes and more cheers and woos, then silence, then the anticipation for the climax which proceeds with more whoos and then silence until the next track
tempted.

apparently you can win tickets on there...
lol @ everyone thinking that there will be some kind of mature, educated EDM crowd there consisting of die hard Armin fans.
I predict the exact opposite...and look forward to the review thread
So I just called Ultra Supper club, the gentleman that picked up the phone said they don't know for sure yet whether the tickets will be available publically or any info like that. He said they'll find out at the end of the week. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
is he giving away his Imagine album for free? if he does I will go .. hell, i should go anyways,, his album debuts May5th so this is +1 days after the north america release ..where is his first stop?
i was talking to my friend Tony Monaco from z103.5
and he was telling me that its a invite only so i
dunno who to believe lol.. i guess will find out soon enough
If that is the case then we are screwed. Even if I made it, why would I wanna be amongst these 103ers ughhhh. But I really love the venue, damnit!
if i find out any info will keep everyone posted
