My god this thread is bringin back some memories...
And making me feel old...
lol...
I'm spending a TON of time on this thread
Speaking of Alanis, I can't find her video for "Fate (stay with me)" anywhere. She was about 14 at the time and I met her at the CNE during her soundcheck, I had NO idea she'd become so huge.
AJ, you showed me a picture of you at a gig in the 80s once, dust that one off and let's see it again

How could I forget this gem...
Joe Jackson - Steppin' Out
Echo & the Bunnymen- People are Strange
Psychedlic Furs- Pretty in Pink
Suzanne Vega- Left of Center
(no embed available)

You Spin me Round- Dead or Alive
Ok don't think any of these have been posted.
A overlooked REM song which when it came out I loved.
REM - It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
One of my favorite songs of all time. Still listen to it today.
Kinks - Come Dancing
And I really can't believe no one has mentioned these two bands and singer...if someone has I missed it.
Queen
RUSH
Finaly probably the most influential musician there will ever be in my lifetime. Some of his best work was prior to the 80's but the 80's were still pretty good for him. He is still making music I listen to.
DAVID BOWIE
What about Yaz/Yazoo??
Don't Go
In My Room
Nobody's Diary
Only You
I think this was omitted? Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen
