And the view is of a broken-down Trans-Am on cinder blocks in front of an old trailer.

Sticking on one theme of this thread, if that meant he incorporated dark techy "lost treasure" style vibe to associate with the desolation, i'd be happy.

Yeah. We all know what it is, the acoustic guitars and the occasional piano, the funky but delicate rhythms, a certain type of melodies, waves, birds, everything is soft, warm, relaxed, belearic, summery, tropical islands, eating coconuts, sleeping on the beach, swimming with giant turtles etc.

And unicorns! Unicorns hiding in a forest nearby, watching carefully all this kitschy scenery, eager to add even more pathos to all this.

Kitsch trance.

Nah, the unicorn isn't balearic.

Mermaids, then.

Not sure why but I honestly do have a good feeling about this mix.

LOL. Or he could just record this bird:

I just found it funny when they first show the bird, it just looks like an old creepy guy peering around the tree.

Now I am just imagining Tiesto doing a hideous Tiesto in Concert, and he is surrounded by lyrebirds just annoying the audience. Although his concert would probably do that anyways.

I find that album cover to be just as poorly done as album covers with a random female half naked on it.

Personally, I'd rather see a girl.

I have to admit I'm somewhat amused by the vast geographical differences between locale titles: from a tiny European island to a massive continent. Yet I wouldn't be surprised if Tijs ignores all but the most cliche styles of music associated with 'Asia' (re: the Orient). Dammit, I want me some traditional Irkutsk folk singing with me trancey beats!

Gimme some Mongolian throat-singing and I am SOOOO sold!!!

well actually I'm sold regardless, ISOS is my favorite compilation series. :P

I'm not holding out that much hope for this as these CDs are usually filled up with lots of vocals, but I will certainly be tracking down that guitar tune at the start of the vid on the 1st page, thats a nice one.

I like the look he takes at "the view" at 3:21 for the inspiration.

it's ok, you're just a victim of marketing.

if the cd had said ibiza instead of central america you'd be saying the same thing. and if it had said tahiti or ko-samui or seychelles or papua new guinea or hawaii you'd be saying the same thing too.

*strums his guitar*

ps i love tijs' inspired description of the 'ibiza' sound. "some guitars and balearic sounds" lol

I love tjis' inability to pronounce "in search of sunrise".

Insurshfsnrise?

Anyway, I've always been fond of the ISOS-series, with volumes one and three being my favourites (by far), so I'm looking forward to this new release as well. However I dislike the idea of a new 3-CD edition, because since ISOS4 I've felt there were way too many filler tracks on every CD. In my opinion he could've left out quite a few average tracks to make a good 1-CD ISOS every time, spreading them out on two CD's with boring tracks in between wasn't a good idea. I doubt he came up with enough interesting tracks to fill 3 CD's this time, but let's just wait and see.
