Re: Re: Re: Re: Adoption.

Ive never found genetic bonds to be particularly important. Bonds through experience, mutual respect and love are far more powerful imo.

Personally, I don't think any mother should give birth if they have no intention of keeping the child. I know that sounds horrible, and as much as I luv you Ange, that doesn't change my opinion.

The way you attempt to speak for wide groups of people really shits me. How on earth can you maintain such a belief without hearing the opinions of thousands of adopted children everywhere? If adoption isnt right for you then wonderful, but I fail to see how you can argue that a child is better off aborted than adopted.

There's a really easy explanation for that.

Theresa = Right

People who disagree with Theresa = Wrong

I never, ever want to be right again.

Fact: If you smoke marijuana, you will have your abortion adopted.

Imagine trying to find clothing for an adopted aborted fetus.

I have trouble enough finding clothing for my niece and she's a living breathing organism!

I can appreciate T's conviction to her beliefs though. Not too long ago I was the same way. But then I read Atlas Shrugged and learned to direct my judgments more appropriately.

Gap for Aborted Tissue Samples is the only place I can think of off the top of my head, and who can afford to shop there?

Fucking hell, abortions for all, adoptions for none! We'll feed the fetuses to Christopher Reeve!

Do you appreciate the Westboro Baptist Church or New Earth Creationists for their conviction in their beliefs?

Don't coddle the stupid, Jenny. You're better than that.

This thread is full of funny, but that may take the cake (the fetus cake, that is).

Actually, children who are "in the system" are there because parents who THOUGHT they could raise a child, 5 years down the road, decided they couldnt.

There are 3 year waiting lists for parents to get babies. Trust me, theres no shortage of people who cant have children and want one straight out of the vagina. My mom waited for two years for me, and another two for my brother.

Again, kids that are sitting in the system are there because their parents should have given them to someone who could really care for them for more than a few years.

Babies is the key word. People want babies... not older children who are already "jaded". How is that fair?

You can't find the numbers because you don't know what you're talking about (surprise, surprise) yet again.

And (yet again), I'm sure no level of reason or fact based discussion will change your (misguided) opinion, so I'm just going to leave it at meth addiction and laugh at how quickly this turns into more of an "LOL, Theresa" thread than it already is.

Ahhh Rob being his usual dick self.

Here, let me help you:

Explaining how many unadopted children end up on the streets:
http://homepage.mac.com/bdwlecteur/ChildrensHome.html

Numbers showing adoption trends: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cb/...cars/trends.htm

If you look, there are far less children being adopted than there are still sitting in the system.

It's a real problem and I'm sorry that some of you don't like my opinion, but that's what I feel.

If someone can give me a good reason to think that putting your children up for adoption is a good thing (aside from the abortion argument), I would be willing to consider it.

FUCK. JUST SAYING.

Adoption is for fags. Better to kill the baby and dump it in Galveston, TX, like nature intended.

You know what you're doing right here though? It's called propaganda - that's what happens when someone takes half of the facts of a situation and posits them in a manner to support their own agenda instead of what is actually the case.

Do you know why there are far less children being adopted than there are still in the system? Do you know how kids go "into the system" in the first place?

No need for you to answer, it's clearly a no.

I'm not being a dick, Theresa - I just cannot stand when people spout the kind of pseudo-intellectual drivel that you do day in and day out on here. You haven't got a clue, and your self-righteous attitude in concert with your idiocy make you one of the most irritating and annoying posters this forum has ever seen.

That is why I don't support the right to choose; those people should not be allowed to reproduce under any circumstances.

Fuck abortion, it's the giving birth process that freaks me out.

But yeah, if you're having it, keep it.
