for anyone missing Jeff....
He's not dead yet...here's his latest promo set in case you've already started missing him. I hear he's opening for Dubfire at DEMF...is that true? Oh sorry, that just blatant douchebaggery...my bad.
JEFF BUTTON SPRING 2008 PROMO.
It has been a long time since I sat down and tried to come up with a 'structured' promo release. With this mix I tried to put together something a little different, and fresh for the Spring season. Luckily, I came across enough material in the past month to give this mix the feel that I was hoping for. Part I is very deep, melodic and full of progressive gems. Part II picks up the pace, some bigger tracks with sleazy basslines, and is closer to what I would play live.

Sometimes it is easier to avoid dishing the whole story on here
I know that when way back i hinted at my reasons for leaving the docks someone here ( and i know exactly who) couldn't wait to show the new owners which caused me all sorts of grief , so much so that i had to ask dell to delete the thread
Thus whilst the reason for me leaving Circa has a lot of story behind it, this time i choose to keep the full facts untold to avoid any embarrassment or drama for those involved
i am guessing Jeff is doing the same

Whatever kids, it's Jeff decision and I respect and support it.
Jeff has always had his own sound, and a unique flair for track selection. If Exposed is going a different direction, through sheer evolution or whatever, then why not seperate from the event? I'd rather he did that than just play whatever fits. Keep it real.
Nobody here has ever quit a job because the company was going a direction that you didn't agree with? Why arew DJ's any different?
It's not a slam on Carey, Mod or Exposed, but if it seems like time to move on, it probably is.

Two things I learned in this thread.
1. Button is no longer at Mod.
2. Vince actually posts and doesn't just lurk!
The sheer simpleness of some TAs astounds me. People that I think should know better too. If this thread was purely 'asking', I wouldn't have said a word.
I wasn't perplexed by the fact that the thread was started at all. Simply, that it was started by a dj that is booked and plays for Ink which, in this city, is direct competition for Carey. The politics are so much so that you wouldn't see (or have seen) anyone affiliated with Ink partying at Sonic or now Mod or vice versa - I have no problem with people being curious, like I said, I was too but my observation was that Vince started this thread a couple of days after he saw it on Jeff's page (why not the same day?)and after everyone had congregated at M.A.N.D.Y. the night before.
Miki - I don't have "in the know" stuff or at least I didn't until yesterday evening and as I was trying to say, threads like this only add to incorrect speculation and in all honesty, I see this as goading Jeff into posting, knowing full well that it is likely to blow up if he does. It all feels very 'highschool'.
I am protective of the scene in general and I find politics complete bullshit. Jeffy's a big boy and can look after himself....
