ketchup%?!?!?
it ruins the whole taste!
Ketchup
Depends, some like, some hate.
How about vinegar? Or extra salt? Pepper? Or have only I found true poutine-nirvana?

Best poutine's are from New York Fries in my opinion. I've had a poutine in MOntreal from a 24-hour place that were pretty good, but the gravy just didn't cut it.

wth were you doing in val morin?
Never heard of Cal's, i hear about ashton's from Quebec city all the time, but cal?
Haha, who said I was there? I'm only saying what I've heard from the hardcore poutine fanatics. They think that all the fancy toppings you see at places like La Banquise are just covering up for the inadequacies of the fundamental ingredients. The one name that always seems to come up is Cal's.
I wouldn't know myself. I figured someone in here might.
I recently was converted to a couple of topping combos at la banquise, i usually get the regular (with extra cheese if extra hungry).
But agree some of the varieties found there are ridiculous, peas on poutine!??! gtfo.
