I just found some useful software to organize things:
http://www.kaylon.com/
1. Powermarks - for bookmarks
2. Mp3 Rat - for mp3
I have mine categorized by #'s... for instance:
01 = EuroDance/EuroTrance(EuroCheese..as some of u would call it)
02 = Trance ! (period)
03 = Full Albums/Mixes (anything over 15min. in length)
04 = Old stuff (mixed EuroStuff..and Trance)
05 = GOA
06 = Hypertrance (Happy Hardcore...suff like that)
======================>E x a m p l e s <========================
01 - Dj Sammy feat. Do (whatever Mix)
02 - Plastic Angel - Hardwired
03 - Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 19 CD (Whatever Mix)
u get my drift!!! if u wanna add more #'s for different stylezzzz. like Techno, Schranz, Rock, Rap.. whatever else u might like.
i dont have it organized at all heheh
i have a trance folder with all sorts of trance hardhouse etc etc in it. and all my other mp3s i drop into the mp3/other foler =)
in trance i only have the live sets seperated
sometimes this makes it pretty hard to find traxx hehehe
Anyone know of any good database programs for mp3's and cd's and vinyl all in one????

Well, I sort by rating the tracks and sorting them to proper genres.
All euphoric trance.other genres go to top 10/10 folders. All 7/10 stuff go to other folders. Any other genres are, not all, rated and placed in proper folders. Any track I consider no good, gets deleted.
Main DIRS:
Transic [dedicated to euphoric]
Hard [progressive, dark, etc..]
Goa/Psy
House
Breaks
New Age
Mainstream
Yet again i emerge making a visual reply. Enjoy

Well I Have one big folder called Music. In there I put all my singles from 2001-2002. Each single's file name is Artist - Title (Remix), just like that but with the actual stuff. The id3v2 tag is filled out (that means I have to do research and find the tracklist and stuff of the single
) I also have a playlist of all my songs in the folder. I also have 3 sub directories in Music. One of them is New where I have songs that I just got but I dont know if I want to keep yet (I have to listen to it a couple more times later). The second one is Cache, which is for songs that I dont want anymore but are rare or I might need them later or something. Songs that I dont keep from the New folder go to the Cache folder. The third and last folder is called 1999-2000 which is for my collection of 1999 and 2000 songs, since the main directory is for 2001 and 2002 songs. I also have some albums (vinyl releases only) in the main directory. So yeah, thats how its done here
Am now sorting my music into folders, artist then tune title
got seperate folders for vid's and live sets
