I've had #1 more often. In the dream I am always slow. Slow to run, slow to move, etc. But the guy chasing me is fast. The dream always ends when the guy is about to kill me. But I never get killed.

But the worst dreams are my "falling" dreams. I've fallen off cliffs, 100ft. basketball hoops, the sky. The sensation is always intense and when I hit the ground, I jump in my sleep.

I'd just beaten Gears of War a few nights before and one of those huge things that just busts down walls and if it hits you once you die, was chasing me.

Wtf were they called in the game... hmm...

I really don't know how people remember such vivid crap about their dreams. I remember almost none of them. Sometimes I remember them for about five minutes after I wake up and I think wow, I'm messed up -- but never am I able to keep a mental inventory of whether I can clench my fists in my dreams

Whenever I have a violent type of dream (something like being chased, attacked, etc) I tend to not be able to "move" my body around like I'd like to. I don't feel like I can run, feels like I'm treading through some kind of thick liquid. I can't really control my hands and trying to throw punches feels like I'm trying to punch the person underwater. The punches never seem to land. This freaks me out a lot for some reason and I wake up in a sweat.

Sucks for you. I sometimes wish I never woke up after remembering such "vacations".

And w0rd Alex, I swear... I've gotten to the point where I dream as an activity sometimes.

The main thing I can remember as a recurring theme in my dreams back when I was a teenager is that I perpetually would fall off of something high and fall into a pit of blackness until I woke up. THEN I'D GET LAID LIKE ALL GET OUT.

Supposedly melatonin and vitamin B12 help.

I've tried melatonin before and it did seem to give me more vivid dreams.
