I swear, I saw it with my own eyes!! All the security guard did was look through the camera case and that was it.

the hell with pictures...
someone gotta find a way to record the sets live.
I don'T know... get a mp3player/recorder that york with a mic...
find a good place where you feel the sound is at is best and record the rave...
it might takes a few time before we setup a good recording so we could enjoy the mix back at home...

I'm with you on that one! We need to find small equipment that can record hours... anyone knows more about this?

el see? did you took any pills? hard house is miles away from what mauro picotto spun but im guessing you are the same as anastasia and were expecting the melodic side? and like castrateur said if you listen to some recent sets then he hasn't play any melodic stuff in a while, ok maybe back to cali but that's it.

anyway i will wait for him next time he comes, and stereo princes you should have tackle that guy hehe, also you probably didn't like preach much cause the starting vibe, at sona he spun a bit diffrent and people really got into it, and at swirl people started gettign into it almost when he had like 3 or 4 songs left to play

and still no one tells me if cameras were allowed lol

I have about 10 sets from Mauro and they all sounded different than what he played at Swirl. I guess there was too much bass and I love hearing the highs of tracks. I guess thats why I love Cosmic Gate, Tiesto, Blank and Jones and Dumonde/Jam X.
I am glad I saw him. Now I hope Blank and Jones comes to Montreal or Toronto.
I still managed to dance alot.

I had a digital camera and all they did was look in the battery case and ask me to turn it on. I took many pictures and even the security guards watched me. I even yelled at the security guard for dropping the camera on the table - he apolized to me cause it cost over $1000.

well the only way to get decent recording is if it's broadcasted over the net or recorded with equipment atached to the tables, cause if recorded with other thingy it would sound like crap like those bootlegs of rockbands.

anastasia: the sets of mauro from when? you got the newest one? wich i think is the one at gatecrasher NEC that is the stuff he played at swirl, in that set there are like 5 tracks he played in montreal.
download some tracks from chris liebeing wich mauro played like 6 tracks from him, and you will understand why there is only bass and drums

yes found it!!
this is an amazing vocal song

max graham spun it and i was like

baraka - song to the sirens (max graham remix)

Well... it wort to try...
Else what... you guys want to open a radio station ? just like ID&T
"TA radio" ? heheh
Broadcasting clubs at night. That thing pays alot.
during the day wedo shows with local DJs...
and in the morning... we could let a playlist roling.
anyways... all the raves and stuff would want to have publicity on our radio... $$$

maybe its just a fantasy... lol

I sneaked one of those disposable cameras with a huge friend...he put it behind his belt buckle a little to the side (where your kidneys are) and sort of stood there with his glasses over it and whenever the security thing beeped he said it was the glasses. he's a big guy and had taken half a speed already so must've freaked the security guy out coz he got through no problem. and i tried patting him down before we went in and couldn't feel it. it was such a good idea, i'm never going to a rave again without a cam..
as for bootlegging yeah the music won't be 192kbps if you use a mic but probably acceptable if you wanna listen to it once or twice just to reminisce
i have a tiny mp3 player about the size of a walkman that records from a mic and it stores 30gb so can record about 50 10 hour raves but i'd have to sneak that as well as a mic inside and just LEAVE THEM somewhere to record while i party....'nuf said

It would be amazing if someone could bring a recorder in. A mini disk player would do the trick I think. They are small and supposedly have pretty good recording. I am sure someone could fit them between their boobs no problem. Who'd ever look there? The recorder certainly wouldnt be for anything serious but I think one great use would be to ID songs so we wouldnt have any of this "he played this/ no he didnt!" bs anymore. It would also be neat because it would help you find that special song you heard live and otherwise had no way of IDing after. Just some thoughts. Who knows.

and master I tried searching baraka - song to the sirens (max graham remix) on audiogalaxy. any other place you recommend looking?
