Fry the sausages in the wok with a little oil until brown all over, and set aside. Fry the onion and garlic in the wok until tender, add more oil if needed. Add mushrooms and courgette and fry for 4 minutes. Add peppers, tomatoes and basil. Slice now slightly cooled sausages into 1/2 inch slices. Add chilli flakes, chicken stock granules, parmesan and 40ml of oil and mix well. Re-add sausages and simmer, whilst preparing the pasta as per the instructions (about 5 minutes). Drain pasta and return to pasta pot. Add contents of wok to pasta pot and stir well. Serve and enjoy |

1 egg yolk
brocoli crown in pieces
20 cent ramen instent noodle block
a splash of any kind of cooking oil
prep time : about 15 minutes
cost: about a dollar
fill a pot with a bit of water and bring it to boil. throw the noodle block in and then put the brocoli crowns on top so that it pushes the noodles under the water.
beat the egg yolk and cook it in a sauce pan with a little oil. once it's cooked, cut it up in little pieces and then set it aside.
by this time the noodles are probably done, as is the brocoli, so drain them. after draining them throw them in the sauce pan where you cooked the egg. cut the noodles with a spatula, sprinkle the instant noodle seasoning and then fold the egg in and your done!
i invented this.

Oh, and has nobody mentioned soup yet? Seriously, buy a couple of cans of soup (whatever kind you like), and a loaf of bread. Cheap, easy, and tasty.

Rice + Vegetables + Soy Sause = Win.
The only food I got in my kitchen now is a tub of chopped peaches, some pretzels, baking soda, tuna in a can, and some month old bleu cheese...what can I make? I'm kinda scared to use half of those items

| Originally posted by Lilith 1 x tin of peeled tomatoes 1 x small brown onion finely chopped 2 x cloves of garlic finely chopped 1 x tablespoon of chopped parsley 1 x teaspoon of pepper 1/2 teaspoon of chilli 1/2 Litre of beef stock 200ml of sour cream Brown the onion an garlic in the pan, add in the tomatoes stock and extra water if needed and bring to the boil, then leave it to simmer for about half hour, 45mins or so. When its cooled off puree it and mix in the sour cream 2nd bit 2-3 x potatoes handful of shredded cheese 1/4 cup of milk 1x tablespoon of rosemary 1x tablespoon of mint Boil/nuke the chunks of potato, mash them while adding the milk until you're happy with the texture, then mix in the cheese. Reheat the soup until its hot, them put it in a bowl with a big dollop of the mashed potatoes in the middle. It costs barely anything |
You could probably skip the parsley and not notice it much, I just find it adds a bit of robustness to the flavour, adjust the rest to how you like, some people prefer a chicken stock but I'm not so keen on it. I like a little bit of a mild chilli taste to it to keep us warm over winter
