Call a vet and get a professional opinion. Like already said, if it should be put down then it will most likely be fairly cheap to do. Otherwise, letting it go will most likely result in death since it has a broken leg and most likely won't be able to escape predators. Either way, you imposed on nature by doing what you did and are now left with a decision to make.

Option a) Put on a leather glove and hold it underwater until it drowns (this is how I dispatched a late pet rat)

Option b) Put it in a tupperware container and drop in a cotton ball soaked in ether (car starting fluid) until it goes out, then drown it.
