Like if I have to get from point A to point G, I have to do it step by step, A-B, B-C, C-D, D-E, E-F, F-G, whereas before I was able to see most of the steps from A-G. Kinda scarry. I wonder if it is permanent?

marihuana does not cause brain damage.

the only beef i have is with all that propaganda bullshit on t.v

lol, you're not a loser. But you're a now you're officially a pothead. I'm addicted to weed, smoke everyday, usually by myself. Why by myself? Because if I smoke with friends, that means I have to share my stash! I smoke less by myself, and as I am trying to kick my habit, it's easier to not smoke when not surrounded by pot smokers. I see a counselor now to talk about my past and all the drug use. I came to a realization that I use weed as more of self-medicating anti-depressant. I smoke about once a day out of a small bowl (but with good hydro weed of course), which is greatly reduced from 10-15 blunts plus bong/bowl hits and hundreds of dollars spent a week.

Don't let no one tell you weed is not addictive. It is. If you smoke by yourself, or everyday, you're not a loser. You're just a weed smoker. Just like someone who smokes cigarettes or drinks a beer. That does not make you a bad person.

I disagree with your statement that it's addictive. Weed has addictive qualities, but it's not physically addictive by any means. If you go a day without smoking, irritability is common, but the next few days usually ease up, and your urge to smoke is quelled. You are never physically required to smoke, like you'll go insane if you don't. I smoke weed because I like smoking. It's the single easiest drug to quit. All you gotta do is just stop. If you are mentally stronger than a 4 year old, you can quit too.

I'm actually quitting so that I can focus on my schoolwork and finish off this semester right. You can smoke and study, but it's not quite the same, and usually that whole "short term memory loss" takes into effect. I think I'm making the right choice by taking a break. Next semester when I go back to work full time, I'm going back to smoking full time.

it's actually kind of pointless to have the argument you guys are having because everyone is different. what works for one person may not be the case for another.

i personally could never go back to smoking every day and being productive. my uncle on the other hand is a total functioning pothead, and not in the stereotypical sense in the least bit. i think pot is like ritalin for him. he smokes a joint or 2 a day and is in the best shape ever and works hard...granted, he lives in the carribbean on a sailboat, but it's an antique wooden sailboat that he has put his life into restoring with his own hands. it's beautiful and i know for damn sure i would never have gotten any of that done if i was smoking every day and needed to work on a boat and do shit like that. lol he and his wife wake up and have a joint with their coffee and some breakfast every morning and then go to work. come home, smoke another one and eat dinner and relax. it's like a daily thing for them.

heh, well, it was something that I could not keep doing sustainably, unless I dedicated my life to it, kicked school, work the dead end job forever. I just decided school and my future were better than today's destructive pleasures (not weed).

It's not physically addictive like cigarrettes, but it is mentally addictive, especially after doing it for so long. Try quitting when you've smoked everyday for the past 3 years, and like clockwork, get home from work, LIGHT UP, until nighty night. That's a hard habit to break. Especially when there are underlying reasons for why one such as myself would smoke all the time like that. It really depends on what you want in life. Don't get me wrong. I love weed. The act of smoking. The initial onset of being stoned. But for a lot of people, like myself, there comes a point where one does not smoke because they want to, they smoke because they have to, even if in reality, they don't have to, but they do. I was at the point where if I wanted to stop smoking, I couldn't imagine it.

It's different for some people. To each his own right?

hmm, well...you seem to have the personality of a toenail, so even if you aren't an alt, you're still not cool enough to be in the e-presence of us...

see, but now you've only fallen here because of peer pressure. why don't you make the decision to explore things (on your own).

sincerely,

dad.
