tak tak, stop trying to start flame wars, and dont give me that "behind a screen bullcrap" you in the exact same position to me so like you have anything to worry about, likewise.

and it was my busniness, all you americans thinking you won us the war thinking your the centre of the planet and thinking 9-11 is such a dramtic tradgedy on the world and has fuck all to do in the whole picture of suffering in the world? well does it? no. millions die in third world countries each year and i doubt you even batter an eyelid for them...

Posted by tranceaholic on May-21-2002 22:28:

dude i never tried to start a flame war with u. i was having problems with another
guy and u were the one who butted in. i never tried to start anything with u.Again i am not american. i just live here. about the world trade center my aunt got hurt as she worked there and barely survived so u can imagine why i am edgy about the subject.Good point about the third world countries since i am originally from one and we had terrorism all around and people died and no one really cared.

i saw a picutre of tranceaholic...hes pretty fucking huge(i.e. he could break all of you guys in half)! anyways there is a good nu nrg song called "one third" that has lyrics about bombing but i think its regarding middle eastern conflict possibly...i dunno but its a sweet tune and the lyrics are great...

Posted by Conan on May-22-2002 00:59:

Woah woah woah!

I was just trying to get a few songs that had an influence from September 11, such as songs w/ Bush's speeches in them...

...and I just want to explain to whoever said that us Americans just want people to feel sorry for us.....I just wanted to know of some songs like this cause I really like them, they touch me deep down...and nobody should make remarks about Sept. 11 like that at all, think of how sick that is!

Well thanks for listening to my little session, and to all those who gave me suggestions, thanks a bunch, your help is appreciated!

lol..i dont ususally like to flame and stuff but people who go out of thier way to gp off topic and make remarks about a very sad incedent just pisses me off.

Sorry for all you others that had to watch all that flaming

I really hope this isn't the reason you are on this forum. If you are then leave. If you said this just because you were pissed, fine...but don't flame people so much.

I don't know about you, but I'm here to discuss music and in light of that, we should stop flaming and continue talking about music inspired by the tragedy of 9/11. True, millions die in 3rd world countries ever year and that makes me feel terrible but 9/11 was a tragedy nonetheless that hit Americans very hard and no jokes should be made about it. Instead, maybe talk about how lucky we are to have not been victimized by the event?

Very well said.

Posted by tranceaholic on May-22-2002 02:34:

hey dude. offcourse i am here to discuss trance and music.my first post in the thread was a suggestion of a very moving set by pvd but when a guy goes out of his way to stay stuff like that well i am sorry i will not take crap like that. my aunt almost died in 9/11 so it is a very edgy subject that should be respected. i am surprised that i am one of the few people who stepped up to the plate. oh well. i think there arent any flames to come so we can go on stickin to topic.

peace all

Has DJ Tiesto - In My Memory anything to do with September 11? Just a thought

I don't think so...and why do you have a laughing smiley in your post? Even if 'in my memory' had something to do with 9/11, why would it be funny?

Well...in those third world countries the peole are dying due to THEIR govenrments actions and THEIR governments not caring for them as well as poverty and lack of education...taht in no way is in comparison to the attacks on the WTC on 9.11...The attacks on the U.S. where done unsuspecting innocent non-military people who woke up 1 day to go to work to support their families..they had no regard to any form of political organization or did they have any chance to defend themselves..all they did was go to work to support their families....

I am NOT saying what goes on in thrid world countries is good or that it is less trajic then 9.11...but what i am saying is that you can not compare the 2...those people in thrid world countries know their fate , people on 9.11 did not.....

PERSONALLY i take GREAT OFFENSE to the people making light of 9.11...saying we are arrogant and all that shit...well since when does arrogance deserve death or even ridicule ....you may say Americans are arrogant well we can come right back at you by saying you are SCUMBAG LOW-LIFE INCONCIDERATE EUROPEAN TRASH for making a situation like 9.11 a mockery.....

9.11 is a VERY emotional subject for Americans...so why on earth would you (DUMONDE TRANCER) make light of it...what is your purpose....due u have that little of respect for us American TAs?....

either or this thread SHOULD BE CLOSED..it is doing no good and is going nowhere except making fellow TAs HATE each other.////

yeah that Alan jackson song is good. Love that comment about Iraq/Iran... Truly emotional song.

man.... this is just getting really really sad. totally off topic, everybody calling eachother names. yugg... really people

look, everybod has a right to their own opinion, no matter how ignorant or wrong it may sound to others they still have the right to voice it. if you dont like it, good for you. tough shit for them. but whatever you do dont resort to calling names and childish bullshit. that makes you come off sounding worse than the person who you disagree with. really, its that simple.

If only you knew anything. Most third world countries were once european colonies. It was Europe that abandoned them to hell. Europe now turns a blind eye to what were once colonies of many of the european powers. Guess they got all the gold and resources from those lands and they dont need it anymore so they gave it back. Then you wonder why they have nothing and are in utter poverty.

9/11 is a different issue. The US was attacked and we reserve the right to defend ourselves when attacked. Of course, unlike WW2, the enemy is a tad more difficult to get at, but we can do some damage to the global terror network.

Posted by elektrikal on May-22-2002 05:33:

fine, u got me djkp. i shouldnt have said that world war 2 thing. thanks for enlightening me on a matter which i obviously didnt put much thought into, or knew much about in the first place.

anyway not really trance but a good breakbeat song w/ trance like elements has parts of george bushs speech when he first stepped ground at wtc.

freakforce- drop tha bomb (dj josef plante's tribute remix)

Would somebody please close this thread? This is going way too off-topic.

Posted by k.k.d. on May-22-2002 07:20:

Jeez guys.. You all sound so immature.. Stop fighting over a silly argument.. What makes the 911 sad is NOT the fact that it's americans that got killed, but (like some of you already mentioned)the sad reality about "innocent" human beings.. Human beings that got killed or injured, and whose families will live with the painful wound caused by this awful event for the rest of their lives. That's what 911 is all about. For once, people must learn to be humane, and throw the patriotic debate shit out of the window, since it's not appliable to this event... Be mature, for fuck's sake...

Now, that all being said, may I suggest:
- returning back to the topic, or, failing to do so, refrain from replying just to fead the flame war.
- Dig out a link, a ftp, or whatever, for your's truly with the aforementioned 13-09-01 set? hehehe it would be much appreciated.

Trance 'unites'

I have discovered a number of tunes while listening to the Soundgarden by Paul which has been played on the next day after the tragedy. Since that Pentatonik Anthology - Movements part ! and Chicane - No Ordinary Morning always remind me of that terrible day...
