LOL Jokes aside! This is the LAW if no one knew about it then you should by now.

I would hope that someone would just point the person out to one of the staff, and leave it in their capable hands. I am sure Guv staff deal with this on a weekly basis.

My question is what do you do whan someone standing up stops, falls backwards and bonks their noggin. Granted they can get back up and continue, but should there be some intervention have their head checked out.

Passed out people are so peaceful, let them be.

I think it was assumed in the question that know the person is out. If they KNOW, the person is not conscious trying to assess the situation is something nightclub management is not qualified to do. If someone is in distress, you call 911. Waiting is not going to help them, and it's not going to help the clubs case when they're in court being sued or arguing why they're liquor license shouldn't be suspened.

and besides, nightclubs have a legal obligation to get assistance for customers that are in distress.

911 = quick free phone call and costs the person who takes the ambulance $65

no immediate call = possible financial loss, possible bad publicity, possible etc..

I agree at some point. If it's a warehouse party then it's hard to manage sometimes, if it's a small bar then it's different. Fact is people will call their friends or drug dealers more often then 911. The management watches it all and navigates employees.

Thing is how many of us are aware of these legal obligation? Why are we paying a COVER?

Like common, It doesn't take much to fix a cab home to someone who are potentially getting wasted, sleeping, passed out, or by themselves in a venue. These people will be grateful and will come to back to party again in the same place with the same people, management, hosts, promoters, djs, owners, bartenders, cleaner who the fuck ever! It's not a fucking game! It's called CUSTOMER RELATIONS I believe. We are going out for a all going out to a party for a good time and everyone of us has bad habbits, it's not that unusual to see people passing out in the TO nightlife and it's not always about selling liquor and making big money off drunk people, it's about taking care of them too at the same time. Just speaking in general.
