I was in a black button down shirt. I wanted to get a tracklists.ca shirt, and I really should have, I guess that's how Menno was trying to spot me ><

took photos of Menno and whatever else I felt like and chilled with friends. good times

menno was sick
didnt care for haliwell
freestylers were sick
rabbit in the moon put on a nice show but tracks dragged on...
benny played some classics but didnt impress me
moby played some classics and a lot i didnt care fore
bt played so much better than when i saw him in new york
le castle vania was good
krafty kuts was chill
pvd was ok, usual set by him

Totally agree.. i was heading over there to meet up my last friends and it totally killed my vibe.. Right when i came in i was hearing star 69 and i thought to myself, "why am i hearing this again?" He played the same tricks as eddie too for that song. So we hung out in the bleachers since we danced for so long and man i was getting sleepy from his set. He played half the volume that the other DJs played at. Guh i used to expect so much from PVD a long time ago but now hes just a bore. I was ready to leave the stadium at 3AM since the ending DJs of the night were really weak.

Line was a bitch to get in, all the pushing and crowding and people bitching and hitting was uncalled for--I really thought I was going to pass out or die at one point before even getting in. That was definitely not fun and dangerous.

Anyway, Benassi was a complete dissapointment--I didn't care for his set at all, it sucked. I didn't make it in time for D. Ramirez, but I'm sure he was great. Moby was amazing--then again, after hearing Benassi's weak set, anything else would pump me up haha--but I think Moby was great, he had me dancing throughout his whole set and the fact that he dropped "Porcelain" was an added bonus. Originally I was going to go see Armand after the first hour of Moby's set but I was too into it and lazy to leave..anyone want to tell me how he did? A little bummed I missed out on him. Van Dyk got a little boring at the beginning so my group left to go see DIM and he dropped amazing electro beats that had me dancing for a while until we went back to Paul for the closing--"Time of our lives" baby!

That's what pissed me off the most about EDC and raves now in general--all these kids are coming to be "seen" and it really upsets me. They don't like the music and don't even know the damn difference between techno, trance, house and electro...to them it's ALL the fucking same. Such a shame.

I had to go this year because of Eddie and Menno. Last one is probably going to be nocturnal with cosmic gate.. unless angello and axwell come back for a 4 hour set

Driving home from a after party making a turn into the freeway, guess who i saw at the stop light, Morgan freeman that was a surprise. This was at west pasadena, my friend took a pic.

best set: BT, even though he played break my fall twice and his music stopped for a few secs. played all the classic hits and flowed nicely

worse set: Benny Benassi didnt even play satisfaction, this was def not his style

best sound system: CURCUITgrounds...LOUD AS FUCK!

worse sound system: KINETICfield...sounded like my laptop playing music, i remember some parts the music would get turned up then it would eventually get turned back down, could barely hear anything from the back of the room

fireworks show display was weak, it shouldve all went off simotaneously instead of every 5 seconds

set up: sick in all the rooms

overall: ok, insomniac needs to learn how to deal with the long line situations and dont EVER disspoint us with a shitty sound system in the MAIN ROOM again

what do you mean by "now"? raves have always been edm sampler platters: good for beginners who know nothing and want a little taste of everything and pointless for anyone who already knows their way around edm and is looking for a proper fill.

Haysbert Palmer was at EDC! lol yay free insurance. btw im really suprised by PVD's set lastnight! it was f***** heavy!

I don't remember this track. Are you thinking of "Go" (which mix was that)?

I loved Moby's set. Only wish he would've dropped a few more classic Moby tracks ("Drop a Beat", "Next Is the E", "Feeling So Real").

it would've been nice to hear Benny play satisfcation but he failed

and it wouldve been nice to hear Moby opened up with "god moving over the face of water"

did you get a chance to check out the psytribe forest party after this? I got there about 9am after edc and it was insane lol
if not cuz lots of friends were going to edc, i would've just gone straight to that forest party. EDC this year just failed me since I first saw the line-up lol weak+boring line-up, not to mention horrible time sets. Talking about sea of people? Nah it was more like a sea of kandie kids who had just been waiting for a chance to get to party or something lol anywhoo it was allrite for what it's worth.

yeah this is defenitly not the best EDC insomniac has thrown. it all started out with the line to get in the event and that was a major kill to my excitment

I was totally there for CL and i was totally disappointed. Maybe he was pissed cause he was on the lineup before Moby.

On another note, Moby hit pretty hard and blew me away.

I didn't make it over to DJ Dan and Donald Glaude, it was too much trouble to get from one place to the next.

Ended up by the VIP Cabanas, that was the place to be to chill... but couldn't hear the music too well.

I had a blast but I expected more from the music because the line up was sick.

Oh that reminds me.. one of my videos from BTs set has the sound guy brushing his teeth lol. I was like wtf.. he offered it to me and i was like naw im chill haha.

ugh, this is all so much of the same that it makes me not want to go to monster massive and i wouldn't, i avoid raves at all cost but just found out lawler will be there, so, therefor i will be too!!! VIP for sure for me, can't deal with the teen puddles and the off chance of running into my students

Anyone know if BT played Flaming June?
