I still see 5 sets coming our way, Rodger the dodger will probably fight back.

Still want nadal to win though.

Think I will have a few beers now I am getting into it

great match so far.
this may grow into a classic match if federer can pull out the 3rd set. we all know tennis is all about momentum and confidence.

Just like the murray-gasquet match. Gasquet took the first 2 sets, and the 3rd set was real tight. in the tiebreaker, murray gained a lot of momentum, and carried it swiftly in the 4th set. the 5th set was about even, and murray squeezed out the victory.

msz, I know you like to fantasize about me in that kinda way, and queers in general. Sorry but I do not feel the same

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-06-2008 15:40:

federer brought his A game. however, nadal brought his A+ game.
also, federer can't seem to break nadal.

I'm happy for it. I just got home in time to *HOPEFULLY* watch Nadal finally break the Federer gass hex

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-06-2008 16:36:

i just worry the rain delay has given roger time to relax and he'll come and take the third which he is close to taking anyway. he'll have all the momentum and win his 6th title

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-06-2008 17:41:

the rain delay benefitted roger more, because we could clearly see nadal's legs were getting cold.

what i am afraid of is if this match goes 5 sets, there may be the possibility of pushing the match to tomorrow? last time i remember that happening was that classic goran ivanivic-patrick rafter final in 2001.

oh i remember that match unfortunate for rafter but great victory for ivanisevic...as for a 5th yeah it's getting late so i hope this ends soon. this will go to a tie break

as for the shoulder, the us open is the only one of the four major tournaments where the balls are thrown the length of the court. the aussie, french, and wimbledon all roll the balls. it's tough throwing a weightless object about 100-120 feet depending on the court.
grow some muscles you pussy

what a match.

Posted by chimera66 on Jul-06-2008 18:25:

this is too much...

classic 4th set there.
this is by far federer's toughest final.

with federer winning the 4th, chances are leaning towards federer winning the 5th. emotion usually carries over.

Posted by verndogs on Jul-06-2008 18:33:

best match I've seen on TV since Sampras-Agassi in the 2001 US Open

(sadly missed Wimbeldon last year because of GMAT cramming)

i agree but with those two championship points i would HOPE nadal gets himself together and wins this damn thing. i can't take this...

it really sounds like the US Open out there. Great crowd out there today.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-06-2008 18:36:

like earlier when federer had break point on nadal, nadal would up an extra notch ..... when nadal had federer at championship point, federer kicked up his extra serious game.

the crowd was great yesterday during the williams' sister match. not overjoyous, but tense, because the match was closer than the score appeared.

Saw the set point back to back to back a couple of minutes ago...

These 2 guys are pure class.

note to self. please send nadal this gift, because he seems to be missing it in his bag.
