Not a fan of this remix but it doesn't really offend me.
Perhaps recycling old stuff is pretty bad for music, but I can't see how the producer of the record can be a "dickhead" for doing so. If anyone's at fault, it's James Zabiela and the people at Bonzai for promoting it and exposing people to it.
I mean, I made a Coldplay remix a few years back and Judge Jules played it on his R1 show. I didn't send it to any DJs, he picked up from somewhere (maybe here?) and played it - and while he might be a dickhead for playing it, I surely can't be seen as one for making it. Reason I didn't send it out is cos I didn't think anyone would want to play it; if I'd thought it was good enough to played by top DJs then I may well have sent it out, as this guy has done. Why the fuck not?
Sometimes you may just be pissing about and come up with something you wanna play out. It may be shit, but if a top DJ picks it up and wants to show it to the world then it's totally unfair to consider the producer as some sort of wanker for making it.

I don't have to prove anything to anyone on these boards. If I don't like people, I tell them. It's not hard to see who's the half-wit, when a tough guy gets pissed off over some random kid on the internet
.
I don't really know how random it was. You've been acting like some omnipotent entity on these boards for quite some time. It's in the nature of mankind to be able to seperate the half-wits from the normal people. And unless you are able to corroborate otherwise, I will persist in viewing at you as a half-wit.
As to the topic itself, I thought the remix was unnecessary. Not the worst I've heard, but just as boring as the original.

If you took out the damn melody which doesn't blend in with the techhouse percussions this remix should begin to sound somewhat near decent
it doesn't sound right otherwise.. it's a hard one to remix
I can somewhat agree that the original sounds a bit harsh and grooveless but it still has it's charm, it sounds that it belong in the late 90's but one that aged quite well actually
Universal Nation is in need of a good remake. Too bad I can't tell a damn thing about this particular attempt from that shoddy Youtube video.
Like most classic trance tunes I'm sure this one has been remixed a bazillion times. Are any of the newer versions any good?
