I chatted with him after a show down here and he was a nice guy. Maybe he just had a bad night.

That album has a distinct identity- it has a gorgeous lullaby quality to it that transcends all the arguments about the album. I prefer the colourful, summery epic house rush of Ima but I have to admit that TBU is a better album. So... yeah. BT is an artist you judge in incarnations. He sheds his skin every few years. He's never gonna become predictable, but you have to worry every time he changes direction because he can easily step off the edge of the pier. |

I like his older work & TBU. As far as live performance goes, he's pretty run of the mill in my book. He wasn't bad, nor was he mind blowing. The night was fairly forgettable.
Although, I did speak with him after the show up here in the Twin Cities. He was very nice to me, and stuck around to chat and sign autographs for the people that wanted them.
I think Douchebag is being a little harsh. I can see him coming off as such though, as I'm sure he has quite a big ego by now.

I think it turned out that, despite best efforts to make him look like the victim, he was being a bit of a DB. Something along the lines of her actually having (limited?) custody rights while he said she kidnapped the kid.
System-J basically said everything I would have, except... I never really liked Flaming June. Yeah, I know. Just never clicked for me.
TBU is probably in my top 10 albums.

Never heard this 11 min version of Flaming June but the album version is awesome. It's my favorite BT tune and also probably in my top10 for all time.
Is this the 11 minute version?
I like his spirit and respect him as a producer. His stuff was really good back then. But now he's just a has been.
i liked flaming june and mercury & solace and i still love fibonacci sequence. it triggers something that no other track does with all the fucked up dark voice efex. remember i always thought he made it while on acid or anything caus it was so diferent from his other works.
edit: had to listen to it now still fucking awesome
