No you don't.

Citroens and Peugeots aren't good cars.

They are very cramped with poor interior finishes and lacklustre engines.

In Australia, we envy what the US get in cars and even with the matching dollar, we still pay 3 times more.

We do?

I don't envy any of the cars in the US. As the OP said, they tend to be ugly boxy cars with all brawn and no brains.

I'm quite happy with our car market.

In my opinion Volkswagen/Audi are producing the best cars in the world at the moment, and we get plenty of them.

You drive a DSG GTI don't you, L.E.N?

You would HATE this Alfa I think.

My sister drives one, it has the worst transmission of any car I've ever driven, gear changes take about 3 seconds. If you're used to driving DSG that makes it even worse.

It handles like a pig and has a huge turning circle too.

The interior is woeful, the driver's seat doesn't even reach my neck and I'm only 6", though the leather is nice.

Personal preference, but I also think the instrumentation layout is horrible too.

Also it beeps constantly! When you reverse it beeps like a fucking truck!

still no racial jokes yet?

So jealous!

I saw one at my local shopping strip the other day and almost had a crash trying to stare at it.

Sexiest car.

I like the rally edition hatches.

No I have a manual GTI. Sucks to hear that...it looks fantastic. What a letdown.

That's something different altogether.

I used to really like the 1996 206, I think it had a great shape, especially the back.

Look what I found searching for 206 pictures, lol:

lol

I like how they even put a reflection in the tail lights.

Yah it is, as of July 7th:

My dream car, too. I even had the plates made, waiting for it... Back in like 2002, since "skyline" was the Infinity G35. However, no GTR was available at the time. I've since given up on the dream... I'd rather invest this money than have a big hole in my pocket and a depreciating asset.

Its a bit hard to get a ZR1 Corvette here, then get it in RHD
But we do get a full range of fairly much everything else like Skylines and so on.

let me tell you a story about two friends who wanted to buy a car not made in the US, lets call them Bill and Paul. About 20 years ago, what they wanted the most in thw whole wide world was a brand new Porsche 959 (and frankly who can blame them, that car was sick ). They went to Germany, bought the cars but when they tried to import them into the US they weren't allowed to, because those nasty German supercars were to filthy (emissions wise) to be allowed into the green US. Despite all their money and ninja lawyers (Bill and Paul were to say the least, filthy rich...think how much money Scrooge McDuck has and then imagine that each one of them has lots more) it would take them amny many years after another Bill signed some sort of law that allowed these precious cars into by classifying them as a part of history or something (cant translate that into english more accurately atm i dont have time

Ah, I believe the US now lets you sign the importation as a "show car" or something if it's old, expensive or rare enough.
