If the organiser isn't here, maybe then the judges should bring the results.
I hope to see the songs online later too from the last round.

I will post my jury report tonight, that is, If I can still find it....

Well, for what it's worth. Here are the judges scores in random order.
The remixes will be up shortly along with announcement of the winner.

Thanks to judges Theran, PDM, Khayat and Subtle, and the participants.
And a huge sorry for the embarrassingly long delay.

JUDGE 1:

Remix 1:
========
Creativity: 6/10
Overall sound: 5/10
Melody: 6/10
Arrangement: 4/10

Review:
The sound that are used in this remix are pretty okay, to bad it only hangs on the arped sound. The lack of a decent
kick and bass doesn't give this remix the drive it needs. If the kick was a little louder and there where more
percussive elements to carry them, this remix would do a lot better!

Average Score: 5.3/10

Remix 2:
========
Creativity: 7/10
Overall sound: 5/10
Melody: 6/10
Arrangement: 5/10

Review:
This is not my kind of trance, but I guess it would be liked in the hardtrance scene. However, the mixing could use
some work, the FX'es are nice but are a little loud and the bass hasn't got depth, I'm missing a deeper subbass.

Average Score: 5.8/10

Remix 3:
========
Creativity: 8/10
Overall sound: 7/10
Melody: 6/10
Arrangement: 6/10

Review:
Those moaning sounds are very creative, but not commonly used in this type of music, and although the remix
sounds okay, the moarning does take out the serious factor in the music. The sounds and melodies used or added
are nice, but if the track was without the moaning, It would get higher points from me.

Average Score: 6.8/10

Remix 4:
========
Creativity: 8/10
Overall sound: 7/10
Melody: 7/10
Arrangement: 7/10

Review:
The main lead is really beautiful! The track kicks in after the break, which is really nice. I'm not that fond
of that double kick but that's a matter of opinion. The track is pretty powerfull but yet again, I'm missing a
real bassline here, you could do without one, but you need to fill up those lower frequencies. You can use toms
to fill the space up and give it more depth. The track has a nice drive!

Average Score: 7.5/10

JUDGE 2:

Remix 1:
========
Creativity: 4/10
Overall Sound: 6/10
Melody 2/10
Arrangement 2/10

This remix starts with some nice elements, a xilophone which sounds very caribbean.
It also starts with a snare, which turns out to be the main kick. I appreacite the idea of wanting to do something unique, but uniqueness does not always mean that is good, and in this case that snappy sound all over the track, just don't work.
The lovely melody of the original was torn off in this one, with a careless interpretation with no emotion or concept.
Its overall sound is clean enough, but that is thanks to its minimal nature, and that extremely minimal attempt is what killed this remix.
The arrangement, well, it is not only Dj Unfriendly, but there are no signs of the three main parts of a trance song or any type of music genre for that matter. What I hear is only an intro track op 6 minutes long.

Overall: A very poor attempt to remix a classic.

Average Score: 3.5/10

Remix 2:
========
Creativity: 6/10
Overall Sound: 8/10
Melody: 6/10
Arrangement: 8/10

This Psy-Trance intro mix has the very characteristocal elements of a good Psy Trancer, plenty of sick acid and 303 lines.
There is also a good dose of variation to keep you motivated to listen further.
The intro, although not very epic, would work quite well as the opening of a set.
It is not very creative compared to other Psy Trance tracks, but the fact that this is a full traslation from Melodic trance to Psy makes it deserving a good score in this area.
The overall sound is top notch, I think we are dealing with an d\advanced producer here, I just would have liked to hear those open hats with lower volume.
Melody again, this is a full traslation from Melodic Trance to Psy Trance, the subtleness that made this track a classic was taken away to replace it for a savage interpretation, which for this kind of genre works but if I was a purist trancer, I would have told him, what did the melody did to you to deserve such punishment.

Arrangement: It is pretty good, it is an intro track which the Djs could use to open a set, there is a breakdown, there is a build up which lacks of tension and an outtro. All elements are there.

Overall: A good psy trance remix perfect for psy fans.

Average Score: 7/10

Remix 3:
========
Creativity: 6/10
Overall Sound 6/10
Melody 8/10
Arrangement 4/10

What's with the moaning? I understand that using Vocal Dlips could enhance a track, but here.. is not the case, simply because they distract rather than enhance the listeners experience, that is why instead of adding up to his creativity value, they give this track a minus.

Its overall sound, lets say it is a good draft, but we are not judging engineers but producers, so it passes the test, the some leads sound a little too dry, the gating pad could use more reverb if it was a supportive melody to put it in the background, but he used it as his main lead, so it is cool.
There is plenty of emotion here if you ignore the moaning (if that is possible), the gating pad-lead, the chords and the sweeping melody work quite well together melodic wise. I love that fat side chained pumping bassline.

The arrangement

There is a big minus here in my opinion, the intro part had started nicely, and then at 57 seconds, this producer introduces the breakdown! Full of moaning and featuring what the main melodies are going to be in the next.... 5 minutes!
It means that I'll have to listen to the same melodies being looped for 5 long minutes, when I wasn't even starting to get tired of the intro part. Yes there is a breakbeat part build by the same kickdrum and same snare, and analog bassline, is not enough. The outtro part is full of annoying moaning, if he thought this was sexy maybe he should of tried mixing singing vocals with less of this with good dose of delays and reverb to make it dreamy at least, to make them blend not stand out more than the main melodies.

Overall: A progressive Trance remix more influenced by porno than by its original predecessor, well crafted in some areas, and totally wasted in others.

Average Score: 6/10

Remix 4:
========
Creativity 10/10
Overall Sound 6/10
Melody 4/10
Arrangement 5/10

Tech Trance banger! it starts with an awesome set of percussion and hard kickdrum making it very groovie and energetic, it was a very nice start until those intro leads with excessive volume on them were introduced.
Honestly, this track would have been a lot better without them, specially they are brought in again in the climax to play ON TOP (rather than in the background as support) of the main leads. Instead of these I would have put some nice pads, Sound FX and enhanced the tremendous experience of that groove that this remixer had going on here.
As arrangement, well, when the intro track went silent for a moment, I thought of giving it a minus for that for not letting it flow, but then the "Boom!" vocal gave that nice touch to take off from where it left seconds ago.

Then by the 1:04 minute mark, the kick is taken off, to let the intro lead play for a moment, here is where a good built up should have taken place and drop the energetic drums keep playing, but instead, he/she built down, that is a mistake there, you want to keep flowing, you want to create more tension and build adrenaline in tracks like this until the breakdown is faded in.

The breakdown was disappointing really, here is where this track should have exploded into an emotional tech blizzard, not only that the build up didn't create enough tension for what was to come, so those incredible drums didn't sound as espectacular as they would have sound with a well crafted build up.
The climax was so so, the main leads where overshadowed by the intro lead, it should have been the other way around.
I enjoyed the outtro a lot, gives a lot to rave to, if it wasn't for that spectacular first minute and the last two minutes, this would have deserved nothing but a 1.

The main melodies could have used a moment of spark, if he opened those filter cut offs of the main leads in the breakdown, they could have used a moment of glory.

Overall: A very creative mix sacrificing, arrangement and melody values, but if you ask me if there was a godd techno trance producer in the way to the top of the mountain, I would point you in his direction, he is not ready yet, but he has a promising future.

Average Score: 6.2/10

JUDGE 3:

Remix 1:
========

Creativity 8/10
Get points for trying to make something deeper.

Overall Sound 3/10
Sounds boring and uninspired, want to skip the track.
If the kick, bass and percs were more organised it would have sounded better.
The style reminds me slightly of Airwave.

Melody 5/10
The melody works to a certain degree.

Arrangement 3/10
The arrangement is repetetive and dull.. not much points there.
Takes a while before anything worthwhile happens.

Average Score: 4.8/10

Remix 2:
========

Creativity 8/10
Where is the original ?
i dont know and i dont care.
Nice breakbeat section and synth programming.

Overall Sound 8/10
Very nice gurgling sounds and synths.
Could use some spicing in the perc apartment

Melody 8/10
Ooh.. almost goa like synth sounds here, not much of the original left in here.

Arrangement 7/10
Very nice intro into in this tune, but halfway into the track im not so impressed.

Average Score: 7.8/10

Remix 3:
========

Creativity: 3/10
Ok, i picture someone naked when i hear those female sounds in the beginning.
The vocals sounds like a hybrid between Luvstruck and an american porn movie.
I have little sense for humour so you gonna score low here with these vocals.

Overall Sound: 5/10
The mix is decent enough for a dated anno 1998 track, but thats about it.

Melody: 8/10
The melodies are kinda soft and lush, i like those, and yeah its actually the first mix where i could actually recognise.

Arrangement: 4/10
Again, the vocals are horrible.. but i gotta admit it makes me think about a certain *something*
So u decided to end the bass of the track at 6:38 and the fact that u didnt bother even listening to the end where
seemingly forgot to remove the last 20 seconds. Thats lazy.. low score on arrangement for that.

Average Score: 5/10

Remix 4:
========

Creativity: 7/10
The drums in this track is tight, and some hint of breakbeat in here too,

Overall Sound: 7/10
Ok this is the only one of the remixes that actually made my foot thump to the floor, for the first 60 seconds that is.
The percussions are very nice in this one.

Melody 5/10
That loud saw lead just doesnt cut it for me, but in the break the melody sounds alot better.

Arrangement: 3/10
The arrangement lacks some effects, and could have been arranged in a more proper way imo, lazy transitions overall.

Average Score: 5.5/10

I'd love to hear the remixes, but the site isn't working for me.

Congratulations to Takkra, and Theran, whoever organize the next remix compo, he can not compete as well, is just common sense.

Cheers
