I don't know a whole lot about produciing but I will share with you this one piece I do know - if you are recording vocals, move away from the mic to breathe in.

don't make your tracks sound like they're from 1996. Better/newer percussion samples, synths, everything. Absolutely everything about all your tracks sound horrendously old
