There was a good 2 hours or so where Pacha was the most packed I'd ever seen it. Kinda cleared out around 2:30... I left at 3:00.
In anycase, good music. Mauro played a track around 2ish that was SICK. It just kept building and building and the lights were on... fucking awesome. Everyone went crazy when the beat dropped. I wish I knew the name.

I had a great time last night! Zack absolutely killed it, he played a 3 hour opening set that built up perfectly before Picotto. It always amazes me how Pacha gets a decent amount of people into the venue before 11. By 12 the place was full and by the time Picotto came on the place was mobbed. I can honestly say I have never seen Pacha that packed, ever. The mainfloor was entirely packed to the point where you could feel the moisture in the air (gross!) and even the basement was packed! We were going back and forth between the basement and the mainfloor and from what I heard Eco and Gerard were killing it! I'm pretty surprised that people have heard boring sets from Picotto, it was just straight banging techno all night after about his first 3 songs. He stayed on til about 5 and then Zack closed things out with some nasty classics!
I'm still beat.

damn, what a night. Opening up for Mauro was a huge honor...he was one of the few djs who was a legit superstar to me when I first started going out. I must say, I was a little star struck when he walked into the booth lol.
on to his set...I personally loved it. From the other thread, it seems like people don't like his "new style." I don't get it personally. Yeah, he doesn't play 138 BPM hard techno anymore...but who does? Thats kind of a dated sound IMO. EDM in general has evolved so much since tracks like "Lizard" and "Iguana" came out. He doesn't play minimal...He plays straight new-school techno, and plays it well I think.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him again when he comes back around. Besides the fact that he is a nasty dj, he is a super nice guy. He was all smiles and hugs after his set.
great stuff from Gerard and Eco down in the basement as well. That entire downstairs level was packed to the gills all night. Come to think of it, I don't thinK I have ever seen Pacha that packed before.
Picotto's boat is fucking dope.....
