Heh, thanks, I guess...

I still think common sense is not sense at all. Just because a belief is "common" does not mean it is a logical argument. I think it's the argumentum ad populum.

but that's not what common sense means

common sense
noun

sound practical judgment that is independent of specialized knowlege, training, or the like; normal native intelligence.

Basically the jist of common sense is supposed knowledge based on what is percieved to be true, not that which is actually proved to be true. Common sense is nothing but assumptions that something is true without further examination. The most prevelant "common sense" occurs when a large majority of people believe a certain thing and just because of that simple fact, that thing must be true, because it's common sense. People mostly believe in something as "common sense" because the overwhelming majority of their peers believe in that something as true also.

I see my parents and don't want to end up like either of them. My dad provided for us all but was hard to live with, awkward as hell and he was totally taken to the cleaners by my mum who's only wants were personal gain & money. I see myself having some of the same traits as my dad, unselfishness and very passive and unless I find someone who I really like & who i think is a reasonable person i'm not going to have kids just for the sake of it.

The other, well there is a lot of trouble in the family with arthritis, my auntie is crippled in the hands by it, one of my grandmothers was in a wheelchair by 50, the other struggles along with it whilst needing so many painkillers just to get by.

I guess my attitude is that i'll do everything I want to do, see what I want to see and if during that something happens to me, i've given it my all, and if i get old, then sobeit.

The worst scenario I can think of is dying then seeing my family and partner grieving and not being able to do anything, that would be very hard to concept. It would be nice to grow old to a respectable age of 75-80 and then drifting away in your sleep but I guess thats un-common these days.

Ill share a recent personal family death with you which really was hard to deal with , its was Christmas day and about 03:00am in the morning my parents received a phone call from my grandma saying that ' granddad ' had died suddenly died on his way to the bathroom , being Christmas day the emergency services took there time like 1-2 hours and being a death the police had to come which took them 3 hours, I knew my granddads body was in the next room but I couldn't go and see him , having younger family the house had been decorated and presents awaiting to be opened and my grandma crying and telling me that I should live my life and enjoy it.

I would like to think of an afterlife and a heaven & earth but with the amount of pain and suffering on this planet how can there be ? I guess we will never know until its our time. I will leave you with an important phrase

' Time heals all wounds'
