I was lucky enough to have a discussion with him about the Skybar party (offending party in your eyes) and I have never seen a DJ light up like that. He became instantly happy when I brought it up and actally reached down and put me in a bear hug and lifted me off the ground.

Nobbie Q, u make it sound like Sasha goes out of his way not to go to Toronto. It could be so many things like T.O. promoters not wanting to bring Sasha back, full tour schedule, price, etc etc. You think when his manager is scheduling a big tour for him, he says "NO TORONTO!!!" You are just so hung up on your idea that he hates Toronto (that's the rest of Canada btw ). DJs will play where they get paid, barring extraordinary circumstances like safety, and they wouldn't hold a grudge over an entire city. Maybe a specific promoter but that's it. 'The truth is out there'... HA!

I feel like making a thread saying 'Bring Above & Beyond to Toronto'

that would be kinda pathetic but I am really pissed they haven't been here in awhile... their tour dates don't show anything for 2009 but hopefully they will make a stop here.

FYI sasha is scheduled to play in NYC in early november, so if he is doing a "tour", I would suspect it would be around that date.

Yeah right. But no one answered the question as to if they truly belive him and Digweed will come back in the fall. I just think that they're just blowing smoke up our asses.

He might not dislike Toronto but there's something definately going on between him and the promotors or whoever in charge of organizing that shit. You guys can't be naive in thinking that everyhting is hunk dorey especially when in certain years he's come like twice to the Guvernment main room. I've just noticed a big dropoff from his appearences here.

as much as i would love them to.... i don't think they'll play together in the fall.

You're right. This means that there MUST be something going on that we don't know about between Djs and the promotors or whatever as to why hundreds of other DJs haven't been here in awhile (by your standards 6 months give or take - as he WAS scheduled in April, but complications arose), let alone ever!

Jose and Talal are the guys that book every single dj/electronic act that come in to the guv complex.


now lets look at this situation....if there WAS an issue with either of these guys, would they REALLY give a flying fuck and book them on this tour?

While they may not be together.... a text from Grinder this morning let me know that Sasha is scheduled for Guv on November 8.

Maybe he will wear his I hate Toronto shirt to the event.
