Awesome. I love stuff like that, thanks

So I seem to have a problem with this set - every time I put it on it's the same exact situation: late at night, about to get really, really high, and need music as a backdrop for whatever the hell else it is I'm doing.

As such, I don't even know what I can really say about it. I remember really enjoying hearing the Delete remix of Soleil mix in, and the combo of the Florian Mendi remix and Kaito tunes to end really had me grooving each time I heard them - but beyond that it was just good tunes.

Good enough to get a handful of listens in the last week, and the only competition it's gotten is from Button and Northern Exposure 2: East Coast Edition, so if it's holding it's own at a time when I'm obsessing over against those two as well, it's probably pretty fucking good sign.

@bas: the samples are not on this computer, but i will upload the suz vocals when i get home . They are free so me thinks it is fine if i post them here.

@enydo: i remember you saying you liked Meet The Wangs, the vocal i used in the beginning of that one was made by the same voice aka Suz. There is just something about her voice that really works when you find the right track combo. That sample was part of the Archipel tool pack, also available for free @ www.archipel.cc

@rob: thanks for giving this a few listens and taking the time to leave your thoughts on the set

Oh yeah, I really loved that one too.

"elec...tronique, in montreal" or something like that.

Posted by elFreak on Sep-20-2008 22:52:

yup, that is the one.

her voice makes me want to rape myself furiously.

Posted by enydo on Sep-20-2008 23:04:

She really does have an awesome voice.

*commence self-rape*

today was my 3rd go at this. first two were background noise listenings at work so i never really got into it apart from the random "ohh snap that was good"

the intro grabs me right away. trippy distorted vocals with a deep house groove in the background. you can't go wrong with that shit. i am definitely stashing this tune for future use. great flow into #2 - the strings are gangster.

i already feel like this is something a bit different for you. at least in my opinion. some of your past mixes left things a bit... dry. this has emotion and depth.

steady mix into #3. it goes a bit more techy. bleep bloop all that jazz. i like it but definitely not as much as everything before this.

track #4 screams anal sex with baby powder. i'd assume the driest of the anal activity would sound not unlike the noise in this track. rubber on rubber. fucking HOT especially towards the end - near the mix into the next track. i the stretch of it throughout. it's a hell of a way to get a vibe going over a number of different elements.

this is either 5 or 6 and it's gotten a bit industrial for me. heavy on the senses. reminds me a bit of disco bus. what opened with a nice and deep flowy feeling has now went back to something i'm more used to from you. the techy bleepidy bloopity italian german whateveryoucallit.

i'm about halfway through now. i actually went and cleaned around my room while i was blasting this. slightly bent at the knees and head bobbing. the steady rhythm providing just enough drive to get my shit done.

i've lost track of what... track i'm on but it's been pretty steady wooden bell techno for the past 15 mins. at this point i'm really struggling for variety from this. i don't know if it's coming or you like to torture me but we'll be alright - there's about 20 mins left.

love the epic feel of the last tune... and for a minute thirty we have silence which i'm sure has some deeper meaning that just pissing me off.

conclusion - i love it. especially the beginning. towards the 2nd half it became a bit driven and techy and for some reason made me want to clean/organize shit. a few parts stand out - the one i liked the most was that dry anal sound stretching over a good amount of space with the track (tracks?) around it changed. very trippy stuff.

mixing unique and solid as always. cheers bitches.

1) This is not trance...not even close. It's house music.

2) I didn't put my hands in the air...not even once, even though I really wanted too.

3) I didn't envision one Unicorn at all, and I was hoping I would.

4) I want my hour back.

LOL I really hope this is 100% sarcasm. Jay never spins any form of trance.

if you do not like house or techno i do not expect you to enjoy this, but still appreciate the listen

considering the quality of your last set az, your comments mean alot

the last track was kind of epic plur...if i pitched it up to 140 i could jesus pose.

German cocks sometimes taste too garlicky. Endyo agrees, the Marcy Brats kinda have no head to them.

Posted by Adam420 on May-09-2011 04:51:

What's the vocal at the beginning?

Posted by iclone on May-09-2011 05:52:

an oldie but a goodie.
