Disco - Reminds me of 80s (which is great!)

i like prog house. and only the prog house that sounds like trance. like deadmau5's prog house. that's yummy.
the rest of house sucks the wang. which is why there's only 10 members of houseaddict.com, and 80K members here.

Originally posted by Fpcookie er no. i got your point i just disagree. Recycling of ideas happens in every genre and does not necessarily mean bad music is produced.

Originally posted by Clovis No you don't get my point. Recycling ideas =/= recycling entire tracks. Which is basically what Tyas does with a harder kick.

Originally posted by Fpcookie ok, you have made 3 different points now but this one i agree with ![]() also, for the record, i dont like Tyas at all.

lol
well we agree that Tyas is boring and remakes of classics are crap, at least.
Well fuckin' a - looks like we're back on track. ![]()
Well Sean's brothers don't even play trance and one is a pretty good house dj. The other is a bit young I believe not sure if he spins.
I lol @ the offbeat bassline but I think that goes for and Discover Artist - not just Sean.
All these posts and no picture of Sean Tyas as a muppet? FAIL!
lol Tyas, all my friends think LIFT IS THE EFFIN SHIT!
:insert RJT's grimmace smilie:
Tyas is (IMO) horrendous, but despite that, almost every idea behind the majority of trance, techno and house tunes has been done 10 years ago (actually make it 20 for some tracks/genres), its not only the usual "reach-for-the-lasers-trance-track", its also the "cooler" house and techno that some of you play. So, attacking modern trance in terms of innovation is implausible. In a matter of fact, the only genre that hasn't been done 10 years before its that Minimal and minimalistically edged-tech-house and techno stuff (i call it shit but don't pay attention) coming from Germany, and now that i think of it they are also around for quite some time now (it could actually be 10 years as well). So in terms of inspiration all EDM is currently dead. Good and bad tunes are always present though and these depend not only on the quality of the tune per se, but on the listener's taste and experience.
We are getting close to 10 years now.
