Ike was pretty bad but not in the same ballpark as Katrina. You can't compare the two disasters. But whatever makes you feel better.

It was bad enough that people could be bitching about what isn't happening. There are still 10's of thousands of people that have lost everything.

Your a douche. Why can't we compare? A disaster is a disaster.

We don't complain. We don't depend on the government. We will rebuild and move on because we're Texans.

Yeah keep telling yourself that. Yes you can compare and your comparison will lead you to the conclusion that in terms of disaster Ike doesn't touch Katrina.

But nevermind it is because we're Texans! Yeehaw git er dun.

How are they not in the same ballpark. If New Orleans wasn't below sea level then it would have been exactly the same.

Also in New Orleans they told everyone to get out that it is going to be bad and the ones that stayed said this isn't our first storm everything will be ok. So they had warning to get out and had transportation to get out before the storm and didn't. So one all the shit went down then they started crying and bitching for help. I dont feel sorry for them they were told to leave and didn't. But yes they are in the same ballpark. the media just focased on new Orleans and it turned into everything it did.

The storm was just as large as Katrina. had a cat 4 storm surge. the only difference were the winds were not quiet as strong... Oh and after all the stats came out about Katrina more white people died in that storm than black people

You just said it. Houston isn't under sea level and isn't surrounded by lakes and rivers which are held back by levees that burst from the surge. But yeah none of that makes a difference.

I saw plenty of people bitching on the news about it saying the government didn't learn anything from Katrina, etc...

I have a big weener.

Posted by Zild on Sep-25-2008 16:14:

Obviously we all do since we live in Texas. Now if you lived in Louisiana you would have a smaller wiener that bitches a little bit more.

I don't think Packer's mom and I will fit together, but we'll find something out.
