4 words: fuck. fuck. fuck. fuck.

INSANE guy. I didn't think I could handle it at times. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Ten fold.

Nick Pilon did an awesome job opening up the night!

PS. That spinning girl stomped on my flip-flops more than once, I wanted to smack her.

Posted by tbones on Oct-25-2008 19:08:

The only 2 tunes I recognized by O'Callaghan were:

Big Sky.
Hold onto me (?, not sure about the title, I had to ask about 10 people)

that girl was spinning all over the place...she was walking from side to side and then doing crazy weird hand gestures...i started screaming at her and she was in another world!!!

i think even if u smacked her...she would have kept on spinning on the floor haha!

i got stepped on my feet many times as well.if the person is not too fucked up,usually they apologize and that's cool

hey man...are you 100% on this one?

couldnt find ANYTHING about this track ...although it could be unrelesed...but released I highly doubt it. I believe the last release from Simon patterson was Us....an it was about a month ago. Other than that i found zero info on that track.

maybe unreleased :S?

Posted by Fran666 on Oct-25-2008 21:45:

bulldozer played... maybe an unreleased track named punch if that's what JOC said to louis... don't recall hearing thump and us... (both on simon patterson's top ten by the way....thump is #1) but i,m not 100% sure they didn't play.

Got there at exactly 4:30 when John started. Too many guys but who cares, we go for the music. Sound was really good. It was very hot in the middle, would be cool if you guys can add two or three fans. His set was really good, especially at arounf 6:00, the tunes her dropped were madness.

Thanks Francis for the guest list. Please check your inbox.

yeah he definately dropped thump last night, it was sick. All in all great night, the sound was much better last night than it was at gareth emery/aly & fila. J.O.C. didnt dissapoint, even though i found near the end there were a bit too many breakdowns, but hey beggers cant be choosers. Nick did a nice job opening as well.

Normalement on ouvre toujours 2am.

Dsol pour la confusion, mais la personne qui t'a rpondu n'tait pas au courant du fonctionnement habituel du circus, n'tant pas un employ du circus.

Je t'ai rpondu en priv, mais je croyais bon de le spcifier tous galement.

Carl Muren, the dj that played after JOC, the alleged mc, only said: please give love to JOC, after JOC finished his set ?!?!?!

Louis used to do that at every trance event held at Aria... and kept on doing it at Circus... it's a nice gesture to say thanks to the artist. Letting him enjoy your applause.

For me it's like good manners that's all, P.L.U.R...and 5 seconds only.

I'm really sure JOC appreciated it because he was smiling and blushing from all the love he was receiving... you guys were loud !!!

Not really a turn off since it was really short. I've seen other Djs do it before.

Posted by DK Man on Oct-26-2008 18:18:

I'm pretty sure the MC from the Hiphop room came and said few words like 15min before the end of JOC set that wasn't cool at all... but When Carl Muren took the mic and said give it up for John O'Callaghan twice (one during the break of Big Sky and once when his set was over) is a great treatment and proper thanks given to a DJ. It's a good thing that Circus still does that... most places and event in Montreal don't do it, in Europe it's almost a must!
By the way I can't wait to see who will be playing next at Circus? Most likely it will be after the holidays!
Dom K.

JOC was telling us how happy he was about the night

He wants to comeback anytime we wanna bring him

He loved the crowd / setup / atmosphere

Next bookings are on the works

Nothing before the end of the year tho...

Too much stuff going on

But i garantee a sick ass line up for the next event

Beginning of 2009

More infos very soon about that

Not really talking about thanking the Dj, though for some reasons I could barely hear what was being said, I'm talking about something like the comments about the club he said. Maybe that's just me, but I don't need someone to brainwash me about something everyone has to make their own mind. Expecially when the music is so great. IMO, the MCs are a good assez to hip-hop music as I don't really see anything that good about the music, but to keep it as short as possible when the music is great. If he did that in the beginning of the night, maybe I would have reacted differently cause I still had lots of energy, but after JOC, I was exausted and the non-thanks comments turned me off. Totally agree with having someone give proper thanks and announcment about the djs, just the MC style of talk to entertain the crowd really didn't work for me.

On the other hand, I want to apologize for the misunderstanding about the guestlist. Not only was the guy new, I also am and as I told Francis in pm, for the insanely good night we had, one cannot complain about the price they paied.

I have no idea where the club is heading, but with JOC, I feel like an olympian in front of a 5 meter high bar. The expectations are so high right now. You guys made it possible and I can't thank you guys enough for this!
