PvD at Freedom 2008 in guv......

Eddie halliwell who came up after him was way more hyped and actually gave the crowd the feeling that he wanted to be there while PvD just gave the feeling that he wanted to play and leave.....

Would have to agree that most of the bigger name DJ's have been shit lately. I did see Mark Knight 2 weeks ago on the Space Terrace for afterhours, and I was really impressed. He played a solid, bangin prog set that went well with the sunrise

Fuck I'm glad a sizeable amount of DJs do not find those to be "top shelf" remixes...

the track seleccion was one of the best, but the mixing didn't help at all to bring the best of the tracks.

There are two things to aim at in life: first to get what you want and, after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieve the second.

Not a fan of Above & Beyond this year. They just played cookie-cutter vocal trance with a much too heavy bassline that overpowered the fucking music so I can hardly hear if they're playing 'Good For Me' or some OceanLab track again. Instead I hear a violent BOOM BOOM BOOM and some faint female vocals coming from a speaker, maybe.

I can see how people can be disappointed with Paul van Dyk. I currently love the guy. I guess people see him expecting to hear some bangin trance that hits you hard from the first track to his last and then encore. But that's just not him anymore. From what I've seen and heard of him lately, the guy is just up there to play real pretty, almost angelic music. Think 'For an Angel' or Cressida's '6AM (Kyau & Albert remix)'. He's been loving those tracks lately. And with his new laptop setup the mixing is simply something that we're not used to, yet.

Dude Dubfire is the sh*t. Perhaps you just don't like his stuff.

Bad Boy Bill

I was really looking forward to seeing him a few months back since i recall his sets from back in the day.

Well, i was heavily disappointing, it just looked like he did not want to be there NOR spin records. He just stood there and played track after track with an annoying grin, big let down since the last time i saw him a few years ago.

Tony De Vit. I'm disappointed that 10 years on, he hasn't risen from the dead and banished most of todays clowns to hell.

I found this too.I saw them earlier in the year and they played Good for Me and I Didn't realise what it was for a good few minutes. I was more dissapointed by the fact they came on 2 hours earlier than the set time given and I missed the first half hour of their set though
