Accadia - Into the dawn (Ambient Mix) is the perfect intro track

Posted by Trance Nutter on Oct-17-2008 12:41:

Westbam vs Red Jerry - Wizards of the Sonic (Matt Darey Remix)

For some reason just doesn't sound right anywhere unless its last.

Junkie XL - Mulu

The end section is several minutes long and is absolutely massive (as heard in the mix in my sig ).

Mr Fingers - Can you feel it

outro

Pryda - Aftermath
Delerium - Silence (Tiesto remix)
Sunday Club - Healing Dream (i heard a set once and the dj ended it with the piano part of this track..dreamy)
Rank 1 - Airwave
Ce Ce Rogers - Someday
Hybrid - Finished Symphony

BT - Flaming June (BT & PVD remix)
LSG - Netherworld (Oliver Prime)

Both are amazing intros and outros!
(Though I think its fairly difficult to follow flaming june up)

because I don't like to hear anything after it, therefore for me personally it's a good ending track

The good old days. PvD at Roxy! What a night!

Burial - Archangel (Nomad In The Dark Re-Edit) ftw!

evil as hell

Fully depends on the set and what kind of material will be played but probably a few of my fav openers from the days i DJ'ed more actively would be

Apollo 440 - Liquid Cool (Deep Forest Ice Cold @ The Equator Remix)
Sunday Club - Eterna's Flight
Mystic Force - Everglade (Effective Force Remix)

even if it's been probably closer to 10 years since i've last used either one in a mix. Both intro and outro sections of the Mystic Force track are several minutes long beatless ambience so it works in both spots.

check this out and imagine a 15min long intro version (got that on vinyl), its the perfect autumn track:

-snip snip-

cold - strobelight network (short version?)

That is a great track as an intro and overall! After listening to it i remember first hearing it around '97 or so, years and years before minimal techno really kicked in again. The edited version used for the clip is probably taken from THIS compilation, and it's also available on 12" labeled as Space Night Edit/Original. The video is taken from the movie "They Live" (1988) by John Carpenter.

*Edit* both the source of the audio and video have actually been mentioned in the detail section of the vid on youtube.

Only remember the original and haven't heard the more recent mixes to say whether they are any good..

Rodrigez Jr - Soledad works pretty nice to close.

as for intro tracks...i tend to just find something that builds slowly and throw on an accapella or dj tool.
