Black widows and funnel webs are still deadly. The difference being that (iirc) with a black widow you have an hour or two to get anti venom. With a funnel web it's minutes before the toxin sends every muscle into shock and you die from it.

Guess one of Sweden's positive sides with the crap-weather is that we don't get monstrosities like those.

I've heard that on average, a person eats 8 spider's throughout their lifetime while they are asleep. Dunno if that's really true though!

we get heaps of daddy long legs in my place, some huntsmen too. sometimes when you try to catch one you miss and take out a leg or two but the spider keeps going hehe. seen a couple of red tails while gardening but im usually pretty careful, never really been in a position to get bitten. i sometimes worry about it though hehe

I think it is a type of orb spider. same as the banana spider in florida.
