No, it isn't - because only one country can be doing the most of any on thing at any given time.

And we do brew the best beer in the world - it really doesn't matter if you've had it or not. The diversity, quantity, and availability of beer here is as large if not far larger than most other countries - and drinking beer here is a lot like finding tracks as a DJ. You get what you put into it.

Stella is "ok".

have you ever been to germany or the czech republic rob?

if no you are entering into a pissing contest without knowing all of the players.

USA!USA!USA!
while it might work for Hulk Hogan and Hacksaw Jim Duggan, it does not give you any extra internetz.

Posted by Frenchie on Oct-23-2008 02:18:

Yea, but are you talking about 'best' as in flavor? If best is only by 'diversity, quantity, and availability' that's only best to Americans. If you're talking about taste, than 'best' is to everyone.

Yes, in fact. Fuck, I spent the better part of a semester an hour and a half from the German border.

I know the players all too well, and have had this conversation innumerable times - and every time all it comes down to is people's uninformed beliefs on American beer culture.

Belgium also makes some of the best suds i have ever tasted.

Agreed. Big fan.

Those Trappist fellows know what they're doing.

The Dutch are gay but they make some great beer too.

I wasn't knocking American beer culture, only pointing out that your comment was a litte bit:

When it comes crashing down, and it hurts inside,

ya' gotta take a stand, it don't help to hide,

Well, you hurt my friends, and you hurt my pride,

I gotta be a man; I can't let it slide,

I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man,

I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your life!

I feel strong about right and wrong,

And I don't take trouble for very long,

I got somethin' deep inside of me, and courage is the thing that keeps us free,

I am a real American, Fight for the rights of every man,

I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your life!

Well you hurt my friends, and you hurt my pride,

I gotta be a man; I can't let it slide,

Blue and Canadian both suck

I'm actually having trouble finding a decent Canadian domestic beer and I'm getting sick of Keith's

German and Belgian beer spoils people's tastes

PS: Bottles > Cans

I like beer here and there, it's the aftertaste that leaves me not wanting to touch it again.

Meh - it was no more predictable or stereotypical than everyone else saying "American beer is shit."

I, for one, would like to say I did not say that. I asked

I like their bottles. I dont really like the beer :/

Posted by elFreak on Oct-23-2008 02:34:

I never said it was shit.

America is the best in mass production(technique and market exposure not taste). Budweiser for instance is one of the few beers in the world that will taste exactly the same no matter where it was brewed. They have it to a science (it still sucks.) Most mass produced beer is shit, hence i believe it is the reason the rest of the world seems to have this opinion.

make sense?
