For Monster Massive, I just showed my credit card at the Groovetickets tent and they gave me a silver VIP wristband, no ticket at all and I walked right into the VIP entrance. I'm pretty sure that all events at the Sports Arena are hosted through Ticketmaster, so personally I wouldn't waste the extra money if you're considering VIP.

I think this is going to be a record breaking event for these guys, everybody I personally know is gonna go to this for sure. Hell, it will be my personal pleasure to let my targeted 21+ email list know about this.
I just saw Armin in NYC last night. He played for almost 6 hours (12-5:30+) and we all had a great time. I think if you go to an Armin event nowadays you have to expect some cheese, but, hell, I was dancing the whole time and will look back it fondly. Hopefully I can convince my friends to come down with me. Not really digging a Tahoe New Years.
I forgot to add that I've been to TAO the past two years and its been excellent. The sound quality is good, but its a bit lacking in the visualization aspect. I'm hoping they put more budget into the whole stage design as opposed to only the DJ booth
What's going on with the VIP tickets?
It says "VIP Pre-sale Tickets are available for $100 and $150..."
Yet, groovetickets is already showing $125? Error or did they sell out of $100 and add a midle price point? Or just start at $125?

Here is a link to the VIP tickets thorugh Ticketmaster in case that is of any help: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0...&minorcatid=107 2 years ago, we bought VIP tickets through Groovetickets.com for TAO and then we had to wait in Groove's line to exchange our tickets for tickemaster-looking tickets. Then we had to go to the VIP line and stand in line again. It was a waste of time standing in the Groove line. I don't know if they changed that since then as we were at Tiesto last NYE. HTH! |
IMO mailed hard tickets are always the way to go. However the Groovetickets line isn't that bad. They swipe your credit card, put a wristband on you and then your on your way in.

| Originally posted by in2muzikk Yeah, and Groovetickets did have VIP for $100 on Saturday wheni bought mine. Sad part is that I will probably have to pay for my drinks anyway since they've been serving only cheap-ass vodka in VIP. Cheap vodka is actually more expensive, you just pay for it the next day instead!! I got VIP for convenient entry since this will be on a Wednesday and I can't take that day off, so hope it's easy to get in as Monster Massive was! |
What you guys don't want to hang out with the Kandi Kids?
I hate to say it, even though we had vip last year, we probably spent a total of 30mins only to grab/finish drinks then go right back into the mass. I've never really enjoyed being separated from the rest of the people. Nor am I really feeling the East Coast clubber scene so I'm looking forward to heading "home." Heh 22 year old still wishing he was a 16 year old kandi kid.

armin usually changes his shirt a few times, too :-)
he sometimes also has special guests who can probably take over for a few minutes just in case
the longest I ever played a set for was 5 hours, and that was ridiculous (although a lot of fun)... i cant imagine almost twice that
Hypothetical: If you had enough money for either GMAX or TAO, where would you go (take into account production, lines, crowd, etc)?
I'm a little concerned that over a 9 hour span Armin could go stagnant. I love my trance but what could he give us that keeps me moving or happy for that long. I had a good time at Armin Only. Can he repeat?
GMAX does not necessarily have that problem with the DJ changes. Both Benassi and Moby were exceptional at EDC so I'd love to see them again. Neutral to Dirty South and Farina. I've heard various issues though with GMAX.

The production is done by Armin's marketing and production team. so the same set will be used as the "Armin Only"
