You mean like partial government ownership of banks? It was necessary, but this is charge from Republicans is ridiculous after sponsoring this plan.

You people don't even know what socialism actually is, it's just a buzzword to re-instill the type of fear from the Cold War.

Lord, you speak like cutting tons of taxes was a good idea. Yes, Bush cut taxes, but our schools are a mess, our bridges and roads are a mess, our levees (New Orleans) were a mess, and the things our country needed most were not provided for.

Today's market action had little to with Obama's election. He was already expected to win by the market, plus we've had up days for the past week and were long overdue for a pullback. We were up almost 1500 points since last Tuesday, so losing 500 today still nets an increase of 1000 in the past few trading days.

His acceptance speech is probably one of the greatest speeches in American history.

I don't know about that... Maybe during our lifetime, yes... Gotta admit, McCain threw down a great speech too, he was very gracious and I liked what he had to say (for once).

IMO, he seemed sorta insincere at first, but in the end I thought he was really good. It's probably the hardest speech that anyone could ever have to give. I definitely respect the man.

Ditto, i thought McCain was extremely gracious. I got as choked up for that as I did for Obama's. He returned to the guy i knew before this election turned him into a jerk.
