Originally posted by lcid my major gripe is that i really can't see myself getting used to SureType, and the qwerty keyboard isn't really full qwerty since you have to press most of the keys twice to type the 2nd letter on the key.

Originally posted by Moral Hazard I've had opportunity to use the Storm quite a bit in the past few months. If you do a lot of typing then you'll probably want to go with a Bold or Javelin (once it's released) then the Storm. It's cool and all but typing on a touch-screen sucks. Granted, the Storm is better then the i-phone in terms of virtual keyboard but it still isn't as good as actually having keys. If you really must have a touch screen blackberry then I'd recommend waiting for the next generations; which will have a slide out keyboard and WiFi.

Originally posted by Moral Hazard it sounds like you're on the multi-tap function... switch to sure-type (hit the blackberry/menu key when in a typing application such as memo pad or sms, then highlight the "enable SureType" option, click on it and all will be better).

I'm not techy enough for that shit. I have a chocolate, and I don't even use it for the music space or whatever it's for, I just like how simple the phone is. When it stops working, I'll get another plain phone. ONE time I got some fancy phone with a computer keypad, and realized I texted faster with T9, and I blew $350 on that crap. Never again!

No, I have fake nails. Trying to type on that tiny ass keyboard with fake nails... not simple. And all my friends have those keyboards and I type faster than them. I'm like a T9 pro lol

Originally posted by lcid SureType was even more frustrating. i couldn't deal with it. maybe for you, but personally it's high on the list of things i want in a phone.
i never understood the need to be anti social by "socializing" in public.

Originally posted by lcid that was never a consideration in my mind. i'm going back tonight and probably trading out for the Samsung Rant (as long as i can send MMS to an actual phone number with it).

Definite fail at the Storm not having wifi. Is there going to be as extensive an amount of programs written for the Storm as there are for the iphone? Not that many of the programs for the iphone are any good.

Originally posted by lcid well, i went with the Blackberry Pearl and so far i hate it. i mean it's all nice and shiny and technologically fantabulous... but my god it's taking me forever how to figure out how to do the simplest things. i mean i guess i'd get used to it after a while, but as of now i'm giving myself a few days before i take it back and downgrade to something simpler. my major gripe is that i really can't see myself getting used to SureType, and the qwerty keyboard isn't really full qwerty since you have to press most of the keys twice to type the 2nd letter on the key.

Originally posted by r5a lol now i feel bad (i recommended the Pearl to her in a pm) Once you get the typing down with practice its really quick but not having a full qwerty keyboard is a little rough. although when you get used to it you bang out texts quickly. that's really odd about the picture texts, never had an issue with receiving or sending them to my ex's pearl and she didn't either. sorry to hear the bad experience with ze pearl.
