I would figure anyone who just wants to see Pharrell will go to their show which was announced weeks before the FMF line up. As I said, I dont see the big deal.

Went to the promo meeting for this on Wed and the updated line up just about had me losing my shit. Oakie, Schultz, Lawrence and SUPER 8 AND FUCKING TAB. Holy shit I have been waiting to see these guys for ages and cant wait. Countdown begins! Although I completely see Philbys point. I was at TT 02,it was one of my first big raves, when they were called raves! Id forgotten how epic the line ups were and how much longer Tribes went compared to todays events. I do miss those days, but I dont see them coming back

Posted by charlee on Nov-28-2008 21:30:

My first big party was TT back in 2005. I am so annoyed that I took my sweet time in going to those events because I missed the best part of EDM's history in Australia

I must say, its all looking very Corporate from here.

Posted by MeTrYxX on Nov-30-2008 11:45:

super 8 & Tab make it worth going to

along with Marcus Schulz, Christopher laurence. I will be interested to hear oakie's set, haven't heard much of his live stuff for years. Some of his older sets used to be my fav. fuck basement jaxx, and excuse the ignorance but who the f is nerd ?

Oh and krys, TT 02 was the best party ever, my first big rave. Tiesto blew my mind that night. Trance is now slowly working its way into the commercial scene. Its a pity its not so underground anymore, but still enjoyable nevertheless!

It was mine too, man.. talk about a party to remember.

NERD, Hawtin, Sander? Umm.. ok maybe I'll come then!!

Posted by krys on Dec-03-2008 08:44:

Sounds like we all got into big fuck off trance parties around the same time! Oh I loved the kinda underground feel back then. Ppl enjoyed the music, atmosphere, dancing, socialising and didnt just care bout knowing every track name/remix/artist etc. I wish I could transport myself back sometimes!

I was wondering how that would of worked - guess it didn't.

Hawtin & Kleinenberg are nop longer on the line up, its bizzare; perhaps that first announcement was unofficial? Pretty shattering.

Posted by JayseP on Dec-08-2008 03:00:

It just lost a whole lot of appeal

Posted by charlee on Dec-08-2008 03:45:

I just got this email from Future -

First release tickets have sold out in record time in Sydney. Second release tickets are also limited and are on sale now $99 + BF. Sydney will sell out faster this year due to the reduced capacity, so we're advising people to be quick!

Melbourne's on sale date has been moved back a few days - Melbourne details including the venue announcement will be made later this week.

I wonder???

Posted by narcism on Dec-08-2008 04:39:

Posted by Jake willo on Dec-15-2008 02:34:

Looks like the ticket price is more reasonable this year. hopefully a few more names are added to the line up....

QFT.

Posted by EgosXII on Dec-16-2008 03:09:

lawl, unlike the myer bowl??

i think last year gave me asthma, i inhaled that much shit.

disgusting.

Posted by charlee on Dec-16-2008 03:10:

Arent most outdoor venues going to be dusty at that time of year?

Posted by sunrise3500 on Dec-16-2008 03:13:

while the music bowl sucks, flemington is miserable.

... yarly!

Posted by Teh Jim on Dec-16-2008 04:09:

Even the most grassy of knolls can't help but get dusty with xx,000 punters munting away. I laugh that everyone is rejoicing over Flemington over SMMB simply for the dust, when it's going to be the fucking same!

Personally I would have gone anyway, but I'm hoping the change in venue might mean that the sound gets less fucked!
