scream distortion is also good imo.

I think a lot of people on this site have more creativity than many famous producers. They just don't have as much skill at mixing and mastering, so their tracks sound less "professional." |
Are there any 'famous' artists who just use Reason to produce? I guess these days working with a variety of tools and software is better, so I will to be more specific.
Are there any 'famous' artists who use Reason as the primary production unit?
Which of you people out there use just Reason or mainy Reason to create your tunes? Can you post a link - myspace etc of where I can hear some stuff? I am addicted to Reason and understand there are plenty of other just as beautiful programs out there... but I just can't get myself to close Reason down to try any of them.

And, as anyone with a hardware synth will tell you, once you get it, you're pretty much forced to use another daw like logic, cubase, sonar etc. And tbh even if you did hear some famous artist say they're working on reason, chances are they're getting payed to say it. However, i did hear prodigy used it as a sketch tool for their album. But they finished it in protools so I'm not sure that counts. AFAIK Many producers use it to get ideas down fast, or rewired to a VST host like cubase. Still, I'm sure there are ppl who can get a good sound with reason, it's not impossible, it just a lot easier to do it using quality VST's IMO. |

I take advantage of rewire if i really need to in certain cases, though it is rare. http://www.myspace.com/stevefawkes |

I like Reason for its simplicity...I ReWire into ProTools and BAM!

Dave Spoon uses Reason almost exclusively.

he did some "in the studio" videos for Future Music recently... here is one of the videos I found
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8...-night-pa_music
Good video, rarely see Reason in this style vid.
On an off-note, anyone know where to find more of those future music(or from wherever else) vid's? I know of the ones in the tutorial sticky but haven't had much luck in google & youtube & such.

Well shucks, lots of videos, but not much in the way of the interviews. Is future music the only magazine or site that does that style video?
Also "Computer Music" does it every month with the Producer Master Class video's. "Computer Music" is "Future Music's" sister magazine.
not sure if you've already seen these but there's 36 "in the studio" videos here...

btw, after watching these videos I actually just went ahead and got a one year subscription... best $140.00 I ever spent!
