great opener, looks to be another great season.

lacey, comes off as one of those fat chicks who thinks that they are all that.

the preview for next weeks episode looked really good too, that giovanni guy is a bit of a tool, it doesnt matter that you aren't a waiter, you knew you were coming to the show, and you know how it works, man up, douche.

The fact that he liked many of the signature dishes looks like it'll be pretty promising. The last season or two had a bunch of idiots in the kitchen, I was surprised 1/2 of them got picked. This season looks better.

Hmm it doesn't look like there's gonna be any clear finalists out of these bunch. Like couple seasons ago right from the first couple episodes I said Rock was gonna win. But if I had to take a guess it would probably one of the girls. All the guys are lacking.

the women's team seems stronger than the mens. i think there's 4 or so that were complimented by chef for their signature dishes.

i got the impression that giovanni is like bobby from last year. he can cook but won't put in enough effort to excel to ramsey's standards. i guess we'll see.

ben seemed ok. same with the big guy. didn't really show any of the other guys besides the two who got nominated.

seth should've gone home as well. would've been a great combo breaker to start the show off with a double elimination.

I'm sure they might. They would most likely choose someone with personality and decent skills over someone with no personality and great skills.

I honestly think that they take that into consideration. This time the selection process seemed to have a bit more to do with just applying though, as they showed the "competition" they had at the beginning where they selected from 1000 chefs.

However, I don't know how they selected people before, and I wonder if they did that all along and are just showing it now b/c people are starting to doubt how they select the idiots.
