sorry about the party being stopped at 5am but the owner & or his manager made us shut down. i was very upset about this & tryed to keep the party going til 9am like i was told i could. Thanks to everyone who came out, will see you again next year.

Sorry, but I have to put my two cents in.

This has to be the worst party I attended all weekend. For starters, what the hell was with the sound guy in the main room?! Every 10 fucking minutes of Acosta's set he did that damn boat/blow horn thing. I didn't pay $25 to hear a fucking boat go by, I could do that by a harbor for free.

And while i'm at acosta's set, I thought it was amateur night at the conference with all those assholes getting up on stage and singing. Did anyone catch that girl (second person singing) totally butcher the lyrics to the point where they had to cut her mic?

And on a totally unrelated note, I have a great suspicion that doped up superstar DJ Keoki wasn't even doing anything, i literally saw him tapping his thumb on the side of the keyboard at one point. Maybe instead of spending money on that has been dope fiend you guys can get that one guy that played him in the movie party monster, the guy from That 70's Show, he'd probably play a better set.

I know it's a lot of the clubs fault because the club was shitty to begin with, but as promoters you guys should have your own sound people in there, because next WMC there is no way I will attend something like this with your name on it again.

The party that began with me and 3 of my friends from detroit with a mood of "lets go party all night and go crazy" to "this place sucks, lets go back to the hotel and order pizza".

At least when I went the promoters got the right permits and even allowed for the street behind the main room to be closed down and add a 2nd main stage outside! It was for an insane party with Chris Lawrence.. Dj Dan.. (before they cheated) Edgar V and even Slick Rick!

then again that shit was in 2004. time flies.

I thought the venue itself was pretty cool. Nice main room, sweet patio with the pool, and the rooftop was very nice also. Definitely a venue I would consider going to for a proper event. The huge problem I had (and the only problem I had all week) was the fact that this party was supposed to go well into the morning and didn't. I was running late from closing down ultra, but it didn't bother me because the set times were scheduled until 10am. This party may have been better if it were on a different night. I think there was just too much competition Saturday night to pull the large crowd it needed to fill this space. Until I hear differently, I am just going to assume the owner/manager saw that the place wasn't making money and shut it down @5.
