It's pretty obvious (to me)that beings from Venus (Venucians?) sent their biochemical genetic makeup to earth before they underwent the catastrophic greenhouse effect that now and forever engulfs their planet. They probably had a civilization that had advanced to a similar stage as our own, with just as great apathy towards the Space Exploration budgets and just as much attention to their pop stars and idols.
When the greenhouse effects came to light, the governments of Venus gathered for ideas on how to prolong the life of their species. Perhaps by investing in Voyota hybrids, maybe by hosting a Venus Hour (an hour where all of venus would reduce their consumption of energy), or electing brand new ecologically minded leaders like Varack Ovama to rape and rob generations of children of education.
They then realized their mistake of failing the conquering of space. With one last hope, they send capsules all throughout the universe of their genetic and biochemical makeup. Some of it may have landed in Jupiter and frozen into oblivion, maybe into Mars where it died from heat, and then it landed in the oceans of Earth.
And from this capsule came bacteria that was able to at least survive, mutate, evolve. To Algae. To Fish, sword fish, to alligator, to sword man.
And so the sword man puts down his sword to pick up a telescope to view his galaxy and points it at that distance ball called Venus. All he sees is just a rubbish planet. No longer are the houses, buildings and once plentiful massive infrastructure- they have all burned to ash and look no different that the rock from which they rose. "ugly planet," he says, and moves onto the next planet, ignorant and oblivious to the close-mindedness of his imagination.

I love you. That was awesome.

Evolution is a matter of science and should be treated as such. Lots of criticism and less blind acknowledgment like naturalists love to label people who don't share their opinions.

Evolution is constantly changing and being developed anyway, and legitimate criticism is welcomed...I'd be certain that evolution is scrutinised in the same way that other branches of science are, so I'm not sure what your point is.
The fact is, the vast majority of criticism thrown at evolution is from people who have a problem with it due to religious belief, and the vast majority of these folk don't have a clue what they are talking about.
No offense to saka, but his posts are typical of someone who doesn't understand evolution.

The criticisms of creationists have actually "evolved" over time from really pedestrian stuff like "Where are the transitional forms?!" and "Look, there are dinosaur tracks in Texas!" to "Okay, genetic changes within populations certainly occur, but the rate at which mutations actually add useful information to a genome is much too low to provide the basis for all the diversity of life we see, and the enzymatic pathways of today's lifeforms are too complicated to have evolved by what are essentially random changes over time."

I find it kind of interesting to deal with criticism of evolution if it's at least somewhat scientifically informed, which is more likely today than twenty or even ten years ago.

Oh yeah? Where are the transitional forms?

Here's a really interesting article about the evolution-creation business by Richard Lewontin, an evolutionary biologist:

Gravity is far too complex to 'just exist' by coincidence. There must be an intelligent being pushing things downward.

Quote of the day.

Posted by Lomeli on Feb-22-2009 19:23:

Everything contained in the Universe, including the Universe itself, is life. The birth and death of stars, planets, plants, animals, humans... shit man, that's life.

The God from the bible, is dead. He's not some omnipotent, omniscient bastard who is here to judge us. God is Life itself. God is the Universe, Supreme Consciousness. We are a part of God, that's what was meant in the bible. We are a part of life, and we've all been a part of it since the beginning. We all came from that same singularity, the same source. FACT.

God said, "Let there be light!"

The big bang happened.

The Universe has been in a constant state of Evolution, and it will continue to evolve within itself. Nothing static exists except our way of thinking.

Where we go from here is entirely up to us:

Some of the people I've grown up with are Baptists and truly believe that not only were dinosaurs on the ark but that they also still exist. I used to laugh, but now I realize that they are truly serious and I've had to go through the process of using both Darwin's theories as well as those of other prominent evolutionary thinkers. Huxley is actually one of the best to use, he was Darwin's attack dog more or less and was an agnostic. In fact I think he invented the term agnostic, anyway some of the points he used in his debates really resonate and sink in with die hard creationists, so I tend to reference back to him whenever I'm talking with someone who outright denies evolution as completely false.

I don't think you got my point.. Dinosaurs actually exist today in the form of birds. We have fossil links of therapod dinosaurs actually evolving a bird like hip orientation and some evidence to also show that foot digits on the bird are homologus (equivalent through evolution) to those of dinosaurs (hence a link).

so dinosaurs actually are living with humans if you think about it. But i also understand your point into thinking that its ridiculous taht adam and eve rode in on their brontosaurs.

Yeah, but most of our genes evolved long before that, especially the ones involved in all the chemical processes outlined on that page. We share 90% of our genes with mice, and about 96% with chimps.

So what you are saying is that... i could rip my neighbors friends face off?

That extra 4% is what gives us a moral compass...or, failing that, police forces, judicial systems, and penitentiaries.

This is called lack of education. Learn some biology, chemistry and physics, and it all starts to make sense. No invisible man is needed to help simplify things.
