Some of us are at work, you fuck. You don't expect to see that when you enter a mix thread. Have some consideration.

Finally got around to listening to this, and I love it - probably up there with your Itchy Hottin set in terms of quality. "Bouncy" would be the best adjective I can come up with to describe it. I like how you seem to be making more use of songs with organic and jazzy elements, instead of the stereotypical plink-plonk sounds of tech/minimal. The Luciano track at the end was probably the highlight for me, gave me a "Gotan Project" vibe.

I'm pretty divided with the Borat sampling. On one hand, this is seemingly a very serious genre of music and I appreciate your attempts to lighten up the mood, but on the other hand, Borat the movie has become sort of a cliche lately. (though if you were to play the samples over something like Trompetta or Fizheuer Zieheuer, I could see it working extra well).

The "Latin Lover" acapella layering was good, very reminiscent of something you'd hear Luciano do, and it fit the song it was playing over perfectly. Nothing really to say about the transitions, they went extremely smoothly and without incident, which seems to be your intent.

Good I hope you get fired , you lazy slacking fuck.

That is crazy that you mention Gotan Project, because i seriously wanted to finish with Vuelvo Al Sur! I just was very hesitant because it would have been a very tough track to mix. La Revancha Del Tango is a great album. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You should probably take that pic down haziel. I don't want this thread closed or anything.

I'll give this one a try.

Love this rubbery bass sound around 36:00.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Feb-25-2009 18:14:

This last track has a neat melody, but for some reason it makes me think of something that would be playing in a "tropical" scene on an RPG video game.

I think I've been slipping into another "no dance music" phase lately but I still enjoyed the mix overall. Favorite track was the one with the rubbery bass (wasn't following along with the list so I'm not sure of the title).

That could very well be the reason I dig it so much

Yeah! Calypso is mad.

Posted by denys envy on Feb-26-2009 15:40:

i'll be honest. this was a bit boring.

good lounge music. sit and sip on wine to. but i didn't enjoy it as much as your previous one.

the last tune, with the accordion, was really pleasant.
