great night !!!
thanks everyone
I heard it was a crazy night and lot's of people!!!
Hope erphun and creator sets been recorded!!
Nope sorry this time it didn't get recorded.
I'll go with a little more in depth review than usual, because last night was very special. It was just awesome.
We (me and Erphun) arrived 4 hours late in Montreal because of flight delay, already a little tired and stressed out because of schedule getting short. It added on my nervosity of playing with a total new set-up, at this point, no time to even try it before going on, but we made it on time.
Erphun was beyond good, he played some of the most amazing sounds I ever heard. Exaclty what I always wanted to promote with the Black Out night. He delivered big time, with mostly unreleased stuff, and let me tell you that his next releases will do some serious damage. His next Viva track was just mind blowing.
The guy is not only a great producer and DJ, but now also a friend. And for those who stuck around at the end saw that I had the great privilege of doing a tag team with him for the last 2 hours. We were having fun like kids, and deeply honored that he would even propose this to me.
He will be back, that's for sure.
The turn out was great, place was packed with enthousiastic and smiling people that kept asking for more of one of the most underground sound I have heard.
As for me, I am very happy and relieved of the result of my first digital attempt. I have to wrap my head around it as there were some really cool aspects of it that I want to keep, but also less positives ones that I have to find solutions to make it work for me and keep my energy level. My only goal is to challenge myself and always top my last performance, so next time I will be back with some adjustements, new equipment, and always make it better. Some liked it more, some less, so I have to figure out what I will keep and change, thanks for baring with me.
Thanks to Francis for the great promo. ;-)
And to Circus for producing such a night.
can't wait till may
9.5/10

My review:
I arrived around 2:30 and when I walked in Creator was pounding some incredible tracks... I was literally dancing and every 2nd track I kept thinking I NEED AN ID FOR THIS!!!! What a MONSTER.... Martin you said you were gonna ID that Lawler track you played around 4am Very very proggy synthlines.... To be honest your track selection for the first 2 hours was so great that the small mishaps in your first Ableton performance did not make any difference to me.
At 4:30 Erphun took over the decks and for 3 hours some he was banging out the darkest tunes out there...
Stayed till the very end at 10am... The tag team was really cool as well...
Tracks that I remember and could ID,
Erphun - 2wo butterflies (Version 2 and 1)
Erphun - 240D (unrealeased)
Andre Winter - Trauma (Original Mix)
Andreas Henneberg - Federschwarz ~ Definately one of the biggest bombs of the night.
Fergie - Black Eye P
Steve Lawler - Courses for Horses
All in all this was an incredible night, and nice to see some TA's out as usual.
I was wearing a red shirtsleeve shirt, and was at the front and towards the right.
Good night! I remember ERPHUN playing some sick ass track around 6:30AM..
Had a great time!
I got to Circus fairly early around 2-2:30 and Martin was playing some great stuff! I was very surprised by the new setup...must've been a challenge at first but it definitely did not show performance wise!
I unfortunately had to leave a bit earlier than I wanted to so i didn't get a chance to hear Erphun, but i am sure sure it was great...the releases I heard from him are awesome!
Great to see everyone...can't wait for the next one.
Glad you all enjoyed your night, I'm getting swamped with messages this morning of people really excited about last Friday... this is amazing. The feedback is really strong, and I feel that Black Out as reached what I have been dreaming of for years.
Two videos, I think it was about 6h30 am... that crowd had some energy!
ERPHUN playing "The Guards Of Cyrus" - VIVA Music (fckn amazing)
ERPHUN playing "Maziratee" - Herzblut Recordings
sick !!!
Great videos!!
