I didn't like this movie...
Way too long and confusing (probably because i was never into "the watchmen"

the fighting scenes were cool, and Dr. Manhattans philosophy was cool, and the girls were attractive, but other than that it was bad

Some of the tracks were good and sounded good through the movie theaters sound system, but didn't work with the movie haha

Yah the best possible way to show the flaws of human character is through a movie with super powers, and blue floating guys.

Give me a break. At the very best this movie was 5/10. I love how everyone calls it a "graphic novel". It's a comic book. Perhaps wordy picture book would work too.

Save yourself a wasted evening and miss this one.

That's the very first line in the wiki link you posted. Shouldn't you be out trying to sell used laptops for 25% more than a new one costs?

I'm glad I didn't pay to watch this. I left after 45 mins.
and I'm glad I paid $2.00 for blindness @ pacific mall and watched that instead to balance things out...

Dr. Manhattan's big blue penis saved this whole movie for me!

LOL

Okay so I went and saw this on Saturday the theater was super full but its opening night on a movie that was super hyped so Im not gonna complain even though I had to sit in the 3rd row. I never read the comic so I honestly didn't know what to expect, the visuals were interesting and the 300 style cinematography was good but not over done so that was a plus as well. Other then that I was honestly expecting more action from a movie based on a comic book. I though the plot was really drawn out and was rather meh. The character were fairly interesting with war shack being a crazy fuck which was awesome. Lot of blue penis. I thought the super heroes looked kinda cheese but I have no idea what they were like in the comic. Overall I liked it and it was a good movie.

All in all, pretty impressed! Kinda slow to get going, but entertaining once the ball got rolling. Rorschach had some GREAT lines ("I'm not trapped in here with you, you're trapped in here with me!") and the cinematography was spot-on.

Plus, I'm just going to say it, Malin Ackerman was hot in this film. Just downright fucking sexy.

a little long, but i thought this was a good flic

I haven't seen it, but just want to say, that Hollywood is unfortunately out of ideas.

There have been too many comic book movies this decade. We got like 3-4 comic book movies every year.

Did we really need to remake Hulk 3 times?
Honestly.

Saw the film on Saturday to a packed theatre.

Quite disappointed with the film for all the hype. It was excruciatingly long to say the least. There was an underlying theme, a very powerful message that they were trying to convey. It was unfortunately too complicated for you to care by the end of the film. The story was far too convoluted for the first 2 hours eventually leading up to the conclusion.

All in all I think if you have never read the novel you won't fully understand the message the film is trying to achieve. Regardless, it had some nice eye candy, Malin Akerman being one of them. It does have some very interesting fight scenes but if your a CGI popcorn loving movie watcher and expecting Spider-Man like action, this film is not for you.

Conclusion: wait for this to come out on Blue-Ray. I'm sure there will be an Unrated Extended edition to fill in some gaps.

An extended version of a movie that is already 2 hours and 40 mins long? No thank you! They need a condensed version instead, with less unnecessary blue schlong!

there's only one super hero in the book/movie. only one of them have super powers, the rest of them are regular people.

did everybody miss the point?? "never compromise"?? i mean im a big fan of the book, fucking loved it. and the movie.... fucking loved it. at first i didnt like "oooh big blue penis guy destroyed the world" change but it worked. fucking loved the movie.

i dont fucking get it. people are jizzing their pants over TDK, a superb comic turned "how far is man willing to go" movie and at the same time dismiss this movie as a "pretty, flashy but lacking depth". rorschach is one of the greatest characters of all times, thats a fact.

so what didnt you guys like?? it was too long? not enough tits?? too "hollywood"???

pfft !!

Agreed. There was rumours the film was to be 2 parts. If that was the case I can see a tonne of editing done to the final cut. Anyways, this film was not for me.

No, we got it. We just think that the whole "anti-hero" concept is played out.

It was interesting when it was a novelty, and the characters - like Tyler Durden or Hannibal Lecter or Arthur Dent - were genuinely intriguing or at least affable, but the antihero is every bit as clich today as the superhero. We need some substance to be impressed. Something to take away from it all.

Yeah, great, they lack super powers and and battle with the same kinds of inner demons we're all familiar with. If that's the point, then it's about as interesting and complex as a porno (she's got a vagina, that's the point, whoopie shit).

Woah DigiNut, did you forget to have coffee? The two "and" "and" in your sentence suggest you are slacking from your proofreading. Usually you write as perfect as an editor. Just thought I'd quote your error for future reference of imperfection.

That's just my angst-driven stutter manifesting itself in textual form after a long day at work followed by the discovery of being out of beer at home (a problem that will be remedied momentarily).

I'm sure that it's not the first mistake I've ever made. They're just easy to miss in and amongst the sea of ludicrous spelling and nonexistent punctuation.
