At the end iTunes isn't half that bad. You just need to SERIOUSLY get used to it.
Make a playlist, drag your music in there, press the green bubble to minimize to a small player.
If you then squint your eyes it'll come a little closer to our beloved Winamp
There are some apps that work as controllers for iTunes so that you never have to see it.
CoverSutra is sweet but paid, as is Cover Stream. Free option is Bowtie.

As a last one: Audion...very, very old and not developed anymore, but free.
Comes close to Winamp too in terms of functionality, but no Intel version, so it'll load very slooooooooow.

Just some options, but seems you've already made up your mind about using RealPlayer

I just cant believe youd rather use the crappy windows media player..
I just wanted to mention that you dont HAVE to let itunes import music into its own library.
Its possible to add music to playlists without having to import the files into itunes library.
It might be a good idea to check its preferences before complaining
Anyway, I like it, and buy my music with itunes, so its pretty

true, as usual i start screaming when stuff doesnt work as i want to right away but I often have to eat my words later, lol as stated many times I have no tolerance what so ever. well im gonna look into the preferences stuff then. i just wanna doubleclick my files and start playing and then right click or drag into a playlist for the next ones.

enoough of that, what about my two other questions:

* when running windows on bootcamp how can i access the files in OSX like i can the other way.

* are there two HD slots in iMac and is the HD size standard 3,5" SATA?

Top 3 hits talk about HFS-explorer including step-by-step guide:

Maybe the product page and manuals can give some insight:
