That movie was terrible but it was such a childhood fave of mine. And to get this *SLIGHTLY* back on topic... I always thought it would be cool if Nintendo revealed the Wii and its motion control functionality with a movie called "The WIIzard", kind of like they revealed SMB3 back in the day.

You have to love how the kid never played that game in his life but knew the secret passageways off the top of his head

This is way On Topic because what we don't know is this is just promotion for Nintendo presents Gustavo Bravetti in The Wiizard

RebeL9 I actually saw that video right after I found the Power Glove one haha amazing.

Alright back on topic. Gustavo Bravetti is The Wiizard.

P.S.- I love when they played Send Me An Angel

Yeah, he would have become the Dimebag Darrel of edm. But seriously, seeing Carl Cox headbutt the "minimal Tiesto" would be priceless.

1.) He looks like a tool.
2.) Jesus poses are for tools.
3.) Trying to act 'badass' and 'revolutionary' while doing something that anybody with a Wii and Ableton can do is laughable.
4.) That's not Minimal. If you think it's Minimal, you're a tool.

Do you go to a club to hear the music or see the dj acting out like a rockstar?

honestly i can admit there was a time when i was excited when tiesto jumped on the decks at love from above in 2004. i was absolutely floored and 17 years old. if i saw this now i would think this guy was a total idiot.

that's the core of the problem. after years of clubbing, this stuff isnt new to you anymore. the clubber evolves from a happy, good vibe music loving person, open and accepting to any and all possibilities the future may hold ... to a chin stroking, overly critical, conservative conformist purist wanting each track to be more deep, underground, abstract, intelligent than the next.

i think the music is decent, not the greatest, and the visual physical element rockstar thing is interesting. but im not going to call him names for doing something different.

True. I'm in my 10th year of clubbing. I've paid my dues. I will continue to call out asshole performances when necessary

no doubt. call it being jaded if you want but this is a parlor trick. i give the guy credit for trying to differentiate himself from the rest of the dj's out there. i'd give him more credit it if he could do it with excellent track selection and flawless mixing. thats just me though.

the problem here is that he's not differentiating himself from the rest based on the music he's playing. after all, he is a dj...

right. he should differentiate himself from the rest by playing cecille, perlon, mobilee, etc, etc records, with a standard mixer please. if he's feeling radical, maybe a flanger or glitch filter on the breakdowns!!!

Posted by Faj27 on Mar-12-2009 20:24:

again, i'm not commenting on his use of effects or whatever. just saying he's doing the same shit as everyone else, only wearing a glove while at it.
