I feel a hell of a lot more guilty listening to trance when it generally has such fairy lyrics as:

quote:
So Ill sing my little lonely songs
It's just part of who I am
Cause I know that its been calling to you
London, New York, Amsterdam

or:

quote:
When you touched my face
When you call my name
I'm burned with desire
When you touched my face
When you call my name
I'm burned with desire

I mean, honestly, let's gain some perspective. People are more embarrassed to listen to The Killers or Journey?

And let's not forget "The Anthem for the girl that got away!"

All y'all need some real guilty pleasures, like Kylie or something.

Neither people shouldn't give a fuck what others listen to. I have a Yanni 4 Life tattoo over my heart. I do what I want

Wear it proud, bro. Wear it proud. Feeling guilty for listening to good music is gay.

Yes, I like it but it isn't exactly manly music, is it?

Hence, the embarassment

What the Hells are you talking about? Traance music has amazing lyrics. It takes us to amazing and exotic locations, such as the nation of Europe, where it comes from, and tells great tales of majestic mountain peaks, floating castles and lollipops. You can't get that sort of imagery anywhere else. It's really amazing that other forms of music haven't even BEGUN to touch upon the genius that is trance.

I never understood guilt with music. If you want to listen to it, listen to it.

I do, but its not what usually falls in line with most of my other music.

I really don't feel guilty about it, I just couldnt think of a better way to put it.

Maybe "music you listen to but not normally listen to"

That sounds stupid actually.

I'm sure there's some music that you listen to that makes you think "why the fuck do I like this shit?"

Posted by PETRAN on Mar-10-2009 18:47:

Other than bands, i also feel guilty when i sometimes listen to those modern ultra-melodic epic-trance tunes from Daniel Kandi or Andy Blueman...

Its like Vangelis remixed or something. How guilty should i feel about it!?

I don't know who Badfish is, but how the fuck does ANYTHING else on that list qualify as a "guilty pleasure"?

I find some of their songs catchy. I don't really care about lyrics and such. Just if it sounds catchy. When it comes to rock and pop thats usually what gets me into a song or a group.

Although nothing comes close to my love for EDM

Tiesto

Jk

Blink 182. Even though I listened to them when I was in junior high, I still get enjoyment out of some of their tracks.

I'd love to know what bands you don't consider guilty pleasures.

Good music is good music. I'm not ashamed of anything I listen to.

Early No Doubt. But I don't really feel guilty, just some people think its weird that I'm really into them.
