I still can't believe last night cost a measly $20. What a fucking steal!

| Originally posted by ~C~ Blake Jarrell's opening set was GREAT. Was really impressed. He really got the buzz/vibe going in KH for sure, and it just got better from there! I really enjoyed Gareth Emery this time around. I was pretty disappointed with his set last time he was here in Guv. That time was my first time seeing him, and I had HIGH expectations. This time he actually lived up to them!!! And i was happy to hear Love Story - Nadia Ali....even know everyone except for me seems to hate that track! LMAO ARMIN WAS PHENOMENAL!!!! wow, i've never danced that hard to any set in my entire life. My legs hurt at the end of the night from not even dancing, but jumping up and down through most of it! And he played my fav. track NOT ENOUGH TIME - Cosmic Gate feat. Emma Hewitt!!!! i was lucky enough to have been backstage when he did.....so that was BY FAR the highlight of my night! wooooooo, I'm in love. I caught a very small amount of Markus. Armin was too good to break away from for too long! Markus was playing L.E.D. There Be Light when i was in there, which i LOVE. So i was happy to hear that. Then I was convinced to go check out Jesse Rose in Gallery, and man, that guy was on FIRE! So much fun. Glad i took at break from the trance to check him out. ALL in ALL one of the best Guv events i've ever been to....esp. for trance. The crowd was GREAT....so much energy...everyone was cheering, clapping, dancing up a storm...u can't ask for anything more than that. Armin looked like he was having a blast too. The entire complex was going off! Loved every minute of being there, and had a really hard time leaving. I listened to the start of Menno's set, but my body was DONE, and i bailed shortly after.... wow. THE END. P.S. i heard FOOTWORK SUCKED! wooooooo made the right choice. P.P.S - Shaya.....you're the fucking man...u and i were soooooo "IN" last night. u rock. Thanks for being my partner in crime...u really made my night :P |

Here is my 1st semi-review in a loooong time:
The night was spent in KH from 10:30pm right to 4:25 am when Armin dropped going wrong and we ran right the fuck out of there to catch last half an hour of Markus. Other than the closing track and a somewhat average first hour of Armin's set from 1-2 along with insanely packed and annoying gino factor crowd it got waaay better at 2 when lots of ppl seem to have gone to see Markus.
That being said Markus is my all time favourtie DJ but doesnt matter what ppl say Armin in my eyes totally OWNED KH especially from 2-4, and there was space to dance too and semi-fresh air to breath lol
I'd say Blake played a pretty good opener, I personally enjoyed Gareth's set, he dropped our request: Metaverse! that's 1 hell of a freakin tune in my books
Caught last 30 mins of Markus.. was really hot and still pretty packed at that point, Markus was still playing some of his remixes of tracks like Formantara What, which I love but overplayed and not a good remix. And over the years I've been prob. the biggest fan of his mash up Space We are, but I mean he freakin plays it every frekin time! lol, in any case Markus is still awesome! Feel bad choosing Armin over Markus, but Armin played too well for me to leave.
After Markus was done, went back to Meiiiinno lol.. I dont know if it's me or what but this is 4th time I see Meiinno but he played progressively worse every single time I've seen him lol.. as Billy says: "Nice Hospital Music" hahaha.. ok I know I'm gonna get attacked for this. Ive met the guy many times.. great guy but just dont like his stuff.. lots of old tunes that make ppl happy I guess.
All in all easy 10/10 night considering my surprise return
Great seeing everyone out last night!!

| Originally posted by Sentinal Gareth Emery was playing HARD. I mean really hard. It was nice and his record selection was good but IMO there was no progression to it, didnt really flow. Kinda went up stayed up, then came down softly, maybe thats his style but I wasn't used to it. None the less I was still completly entertained. Then the crowd. While he is playing ppl are chanting ARMIN ARMIN ARMIN. I thought that was disrespectful to Gareth but it is not the first time something like this has happened before. Then Armin came on. He was starting a little harder than he normally does but I think that is because Gareth really had the tunes pumping and the crowd was moving big time. I stuck around for about an hour and then the trance was a little too vocal and there was an abundance of fromage (cheesy) trance. Time to go see Markus. |
SEEEEEE..... i do actually go to these things..lol.

Missed Dekay
Emery: caught the last 20 minutes, some nice tunes, good energy.
Saw Markus: first our was great, then lost me.
Jesse Rose: caught his last half hour, nice different sound, but not spectacular.
Van boring: as always, big room boring vocals.
Menno: completely stuck in the past.
Music was a pretty big meh for me last night. I was really looking forward to hearing some fresh trance, but got loads of oldies. The classics are awesome and all, but I wanted new music.
It was great seeing everybody out, which made the night so much more enjoyable. Thanks so much Ian for the ride home!
Highlight of the night: after getting searched, the lady said "great, now go in, stay safe and have some fun". What a great way to start a night.
Got in line around 11:15pm, inside the club for 11:50pm for $35 - reduced list was gone QUIIIIIIIIIIICK!! Would've been nice to save the $15 but I'm not gonna complain as the lineup was "well" worth the admission price and those paying $20 pretty much got spoiled
First time hearing Gareth Emery and gotta say the last few songs he dropped before Armin set the night off the night for me - really had the crowd going!!
Armin came on and was surprised at the first couple tracks he layed our as they were definately bangers and not something I'd expect to hear from typical Armin style in KH. The 45 min I saw him were really decent compared to the last few times I've caught him, but that was only the beginning and I heard he was "ok" after.
Markus had the Guv mainroom by the fucking BALLLLLLLLLLZ as usual. I fucking love that he fucking loves TO. Relentless trance I tell you. Never get tired of his anthems...
Menno was....MENNNO from 07 july that I remember. Slammmmmmmmmming!! Wish I could've stayed a bit longer as it would've been great to see him close out KH - although I heard the party in KH ended at 630am or something super early wtf?
Jesse Rose....if he was on at 2:15am in the gallery then I dunno W T F kind of music he was playing in there. I felt like I was in a fucking jungle massacre or something. I don't even know what to describe that music....
GOod night overall, musically. Guv was typical all access-style, lots of fuckin pushers and face munchers but they started weasling out around 3am.
Let me just say this ARMIN ARMIN ARMIN...seeing armin for i think the 9th time since i turned 19 in 04, never dissapoints, id like to thank armin for dropping my choons,
REX MUNDI-NOTHING AT ALL

Elevation-Biscayne(original mix)
Vast Vision feat Fisher Everything (Aly & Fila remix)

A GREAT SET...
By far beat his 8 hour set he did at labour of love with all that electro house garbage he played. This was actually a set with lots of uplifting pounding trance, which is exactly my cup of tea since 99- to now
