hmmmm... i would take a wed-tues off instead of tues-mon.
Not stay at 10th and michigan again... too hot and gross.
Think about staying at the shelborne... Jon is hot as hell.
Not get sick and miss stuff, or just bring medicine so I can handle it.
Wear better shoes... I think my feet are seriously going to fall off still...
And meet up with more people. But it was nice to meet you monsoon!

- Bring way more money
- Stay a couple days after to relax

Wouldn't change much else. Amazing friends, amazing music and amazing weather, doesn't get much better!

Go to Sunday School again, also love Ice Palace.
Stay at same hotel which rocked.
Stay Tues/Wed to Tues/Wed instead of Monday to Monday.
Play twice as many parties (8).
Possibly go to more than one panel at the actual conference.
Go to Nikki Beach for Juicy Beach again.
Play Nikki Beach.
Make sure Cache and Galestian stay on the same floor of the hotel again.
Go to Space... blow up my production so I can play there.
Throw Brian Scott in a pool somewhere in South Beach.

Throw me in the pool? I really should get in a pool/ocean purposely next year. Haven't done that once the last 2 years.

Here's my real list:

-Get at least 1 DJ gig
-Pace my "substance abuse" throughout the week
-Check out Electic Pickle
-Definitely attend SSFD again
-Definitely attend another yacht party
-Definitely attend another rooftop party
-Stay in the same hotel/condo (free nights due to booking mishap this year)
-Go Wedesday thru Tuesday so I can decompress before going back to work.
-Get regular sleep and eat regular meals so I can party longer
-Bring a flask and a real pipe (fuking sneak-a-tokes!)
-Give Jim Carson sleeping pills as a substitute for something else and watch him struggle!

Posted by j_love01 on Apr-01-2009 18:44:

- More Tikki
- Less Space
- Less NE 14th and NW 11th clubs (Downtown)
- More tacos, thai, and crepes
- Share taxi cabs more often
- Smuggle more alcohol in
- No fancy restaurants
- More condo bathrooms (split 5 ways wasn't too bad but 2 RRs would have been better)
- not buy presales until a week or so before conference
- Villa/House S. Beach rental for only the hardcore (you guys know who you are, hit me up)

and next year, more crazy outfits and gear.

I'm in. I had a 3 bed/2 bath house reserved for this year near Flamingo Park, but all my friends bailed on me. Stoopid friends.

Haha... nice one...

I would make sure your wallet and phone were safe. There's nothing worse than getting thrown in a pool with those two items. You really need to go swimming in the ocean. It feels so good. Cache and I went on Sunday afternoon. It was great.... so many beautiful women and people just having a great time.

You have to eat properly Brian. It is essential. Not to sound like your mom, but treat yourself to some good meals. Deco Sandwiches on Washington has the best chicken kabobs. That will get you ready for a good night/day of partying. The breakfast at Cafetto is tasty and cheap too (also on Washington @ 1520).

Don't worry, I have my own sleeping pills... and was actually on one when you saw me

Thanks for the something something... it hit the spot.

That's what addicts do. You can't just get rid of something that is used to cure some kind of anxiety and replace it with nothing. You're going to have to find something else to replace your previous addiction with whether it be a benzo, yoga, exercise, skydiving, or religious contemplation/fanatacism. If it were that easy to quit cold turkey, we wouldn't have addictions. The day you can cure an addiction without replacing it with another addiction is the day pigs fly.

That's true to a point. It's all mind over matter, though. I decided that trying to quit smoking while being severely cracked out/hungover is a terrible idea. I'm gonna take this week to unwind from WMC, then I'm gonna give the quitting a shot. Natalie is already a couple days into it and she's OK (so far). I'm just doing my best to keep the smokes out of the house so she's not tempted.

Yes, once addicted, always addicted. But there are ways to combat that addiction without substituting something else.

You can do it. It's only cigarettes, which taste like garbage anyway unless you're really faded.

Posted by R!CH on Apr-01-2009 23:57:

next year i will avoid all the big parties like pete tong's affliction pool party and especially that shithole mansion. i will not bitch out and bring a quarter oz of cali bud with me (so fucking necessary), fly into miami not ft lauderdale, and go on standby for a free voucher for next year. also more boat parties, more rooftop parties and more techno parties. never fails.

Posted by Rissinite on Apr-02-2009 00:04:

I will....

go see Luciano dead-sober. Dude had me twisted for sure @ Space. My lord that dude is a looping machine

This was my 2nd WMC so I knew not to leave on Sunday. Red-eye is cool, if you are gonna take the sleeping pills or xanax and sleep, if not you are screwed!

Still thinking what I would do differently...

...and I don't know why you guys are all raving about day parties. I rather party @ night, possibly do afterhours and sleep during the day when all the cars are out and SOBE is basically gridlocked. Day parties seem tiring to me, I was over the DJ Mag pool party by the time Lawler came on.

Actually, I did my fair share of pool parties. Day 1 DJ Mag, Day 2 Nikki/Juicy Beach Day 3 - Shoreclub (now that is a nice place to chill/hang out during the day! Nice, classy crowd, but you gotta be or know a hotel guest or greese a lil).

Can't wait to do it all again next year!

Vegas Memorial Weekend has a solid EDM lineup for anyone looking to do some booking and look forward to somewhere in the near future.

I recommend running as it worked for me. And yes I see where you are coming from, but I wouldn't tell someone to trade a tobacco addiction for a benzo addiction.
