I ran all the way to TXTA to tell you Future Fest was freaking bad ass. My mind was blown. A ton of naked boobies, balloon man with nipples, superman without a cape, brown monster man, pacman, amazing sound system, hide and seek, and a bazillion lasers. I stayed all night till 5:30 to beat the traffic. Afterpartied till 8:30. I can't wait to get photos up, but I can't start on them till my head stops hurting. Grrr
Holy crap-- what a night:
-a ton of candy ravers (some bad, some good)
-i HATE people who just stand in the middle of the dance floor
-i am pretty sure that i have irreversible ear damage after last night
-awesome fucking sound system, lights, and performances from the dancers.
-a ton of hard trance played
-ATB peaked way too early. went from "meet me at montouk" to hard stuff in like 15 minutes.
-holy shit the hyperdome sucked. lol- just about a dozen goths listening to gabber.
-my ears were piercing in at monsters of jungle. so fucking loud.
-the room upstairs was pretty good, but there weren't too many people around.
-my feet are fucking killing me from all of that dancing. my ears are still ringing, and im just tired as hell. but holy shit- i had a fun time. a great experience, and im happy i made the trip from fort worth.
After getting through the retarded will-call ticket pick-up, i had a ton of fun. lots of hard stuff. ATB was good. he was all over the place though. the lights and laser were badass. first time i've really been to an event with lasers and they were awesome. I got to hear the first part of Parson's set and i was enjoying it thoroughly. i took a few vids with my iphone, but idk how they're gonna come out. if they're any good, i'll put up links for youtube. it was good to see Cory and Ricky there. i'm about to finally take off from Austin here in a few but i had a lot of fun. definitely worth it. oh yea...did i mention naked girls with body paint?
A Great Night!
This party was fucking BOMB! I drove down from Denton for my first Austin event and boy am I glad I did such! Eddie played a great set of tech-trance and ATB's predictable and ever-entertaining trance tunes kept me on my feet. I even found myself stomping to some ATB a couple times! The main area was definitely the place to be considering the huge space to dance, the air conditioning, the water fountains, the sitting areas, the lights and lasers, the EPIC sound system (engage permanent hearing damage), and the large amounts of crazy people doing what they do best: partying fucking hard. The outside area was ballin' for sure too if you dig those jams, although it was still hot as shit outside. The room upstairs was very cool too if you wanted a change, though it never got too crowded. The balcony was a nice place for some fresh air and the ice machines near the concessions definitely got raided by cold H2O mongers
All in all (besides the parking and will-call ticket line) it was an amazing show. Kudos to all who set it up and ran it smoothly. Once you got inside it was like a playground for liberals in their 20's. The police were everywhere but not prying, merely protecting. I approve of this party and would definitely do again. Cheers!
Future Fest was alot of fun, but I had almost no energy leftover from PvD the previous night, so I found myself sitting on the sidlines for most of it. Wesley Wal set and Eddie Haliwell played good sets, ATb was okay at best, wasn't really feeling Richard Vission. As far as 'raves' go, that was one of the better ones if not best I've been to in the last 9 years.
I had fun
Ehhh..wish I could have made it. Sounds like it was a blast.
VIP privileges - different from the flier.
In rest, Eddie was great, ATB sucked (that's not news). The whole "Monsters of Jungle" scene was awesome. DJ Dan rocked too.
any know how many were in attendance???
Heard it was off the chain!
Massive Intent posted on DDM and said it was an 8K attendance.
I'm uploading photos right now. Yay

[quote[Still working on a final count but we hit around ~7,500-8,000 people. and we definitely learned a lot for our future events. We really appreciate all the kind words and are super happy that everyone enjoyed themselves. We hope to see everyone out @ DIVAS![/quote]
This is what it looked like in the main room earlier in the night at 11:30pm (it got more packed after this shot), then you gotta think about the other 3 stages, people in the bleachers and all around the booths and concession stands.
As you can see...pics are up!!! Yay!
