Crasher isnt that expensive that people cant part with a tiny amount of money for this and recover in time.

I might know where we can get flyers printed cheaply, as a friend of mine put on a club night together with another few DJ's in Worcester as part of a DJ Academy course he did.

Would be good if this thread became stick then it might happen, jes a suggestion. I have a couple of mates who are promoters of their own nights and they were saying that its easy in a lot of clubs in huddersfield. The clubs take the bar income and u take the door, u don't even have to pay anything to hire out the club. Which is pretty cool. Also i think there is a new heaven and hell opening here soon so neo may be able to sort something out there. Club Non has a mint sound system and good acoustics as it is underground and they whack it up loud cos it is sealed off from the outside being in the basement of this building, which is nice.
Just a couple of suggestions put forward to ya.
A couple of forums are doing versus nights against already established clubs, I know Frisky are or have done a versus night for Gurn.net, and I saw a flyer for 4 Clubbers vs Good Greef.
This would probably end up being the cheaper option, wouldn't have to pay any DJ's. I can't think of anywhere tho

Right then, I have sent out a number of emails to most of the clubs in huddersfield querying the idea with them. The others are not that technologically advanced that they have email access, so I will have to go to these in person as a UKTA representative - lol! My I suggest that other people do the same in their area ie. enquire at local clubs. This way someone is bound to get a result!

The best we could get in aylesbury is 100 capacity, not that great venue either, but it could be good enough
But we really need sommit central, like in sheffield, and aylesbury is a dump

Ocalla is meet and greet man for Mesh, he needs a driver thou.
We will have to raise some funds for Mesh's airfare, traval and general expenses.
Ideal time to hold our night seems to be mid feb 2003.
we would need ppl to flyer outside clubs and uni's, we have to pull in at least 1000 ppl to get a second night!
all UKTA's would be expected to have the UKTA nite banner in their sigs on this site to promote it.
my job is talking to the club and securing the venue for us, arrangment would be that we provide our services for FREE, the club takes all door money and drinks money, we are there to spin tunes and get the crowd moving and to have fun, we are promoting ourselves and if its a success then we can move on.
any other input is more than welcome
yeh, but i msut stress it definatly has to be mid month, due to crasher being end of month, and most other events too being end or start of month!

Airfare is about �30 return for mesh plus the price of his food etc, maybe �5 from major contributors would go a long way money to be sent only when we decided who to (prob neo)
K on the actual night once our stars in the club and all safe, I shall interview a selection of people at the club and ask them questions, like typical stuff i.e what style of trance do u like, who's their fave DJ. On top of that I will get basic info i.e their age and occupation and so on. and finish the report with i.e what do they like about the night, would they come back? what would they change. And with all the data I collect I will produce a marketing report, and be able to indentify customer profiles, and make all into a nice report with graphs and charts so it will be easy to understand.
a few other good questiosn would be where are you from, what transport did you use to get here, and how much did it cost (if applicable,
thatway we could target areas more heavily where it doesnt cost much to travel from, like sheffield, and up ere.
actually do you know leeds is the changover for all traisncoming from liverpool and maanchester, i think its a prime location. transport wise.
